WMO waste oil to diesel distiller test run day 3. 24L per hour.

Here I am testing the oil distillation apparatus after considering all the issues that the unit had in two previous runs. Everything was adjusted, and a proper automatic transmission fluid was found for the test. The distiller was designed primarily to process the automatic fluid. The trial ran flawlessly, without any problems, and the machine was responsible for all controls and temperature settings.

Hello sir thank for the video. It seems this machine is running much hotter than the machines you used to make. If I remember right the 3-4 and 6 kw units ran around 300 to 350c. As you said in this video your running hotter, higher production with a thicker oxidized base oil, rather than a diesel type fuel. I like the idea of using the vacuum to control the vapor. My concern is oxygen in the system while boiling the oil. I hope to build a system soon, fuel is getting so expensive here in California. Again thank you for sharing your projects with us.

Hi, the unit is running even colder than all previous machines, they used to run at 440c, this one running at 370c to maximum 410c set by electronic control. the vacuum is removing the vapor that reaching the very top of cooled breathing section, and the vapor and gas emition by the unit is happening at the low part where there is no any oxygen access, so no oxygen gets into the reactor area. The thick oil is due to the tiny water droplets throughout the distillate, you will se the final product and method of the fuel treatment in one of my next videos.

@@1d305 OK but this need a lot of chemical process engineering, catalyst and active process control, not only keep temperature constant via a PID and thermocouple that control a heater. If there is combustion you have to remove heat from the reactor and not add it....interesting? maybe....but in industrial scale and not at home...

If ur making diesel for an old mechanical diesel all u need in theory is to have a tank that has a top port to capture the dsl gas, run the gas through either a heat exchanger or a way to cool down the gas to dsl, & that should be it. Try to have it go into a sealed container so if there’s any dsl gas that makes it’s way through the hose goes into the jug. That product u get will be thin enough to run in any old mechanical diesel that’ll run happily on transmission fluid. U might want to have a little pump to suck the gases/dsl for a better result. That & after this distillation process u have a jug of fuel u want to run it through a water separator filter that’s abt 14microns then a 2 micron filter before goin into the vehicle.

I do gas extraction and burning during distillation, so technically no smell. The resulting fuel is getting processed to eliminate any smell emanation. I am also collecting the waste for now and planning to build a waste processing retort to reduce it to solids and squeeze more fuel. Hypothetically you can also distill over a large portion of the “waste” and it would leave behind a coke like product as well as a lot of the solid additives in the oil, but he might get rid of it because it might have less energy trapped in the larger tar molecules

I have the 6kw machine from Alex. Yield depending on oil quality. Worst is 80% diesel 20% tar. Best 92% diesel 8% tar/bitumen. Good machine. You have to adjust temperature depending on oil eg 2 stroke, hydraulic, atf, motor oil etc. Temp ranges 375 degrees Celsius to 420 Celsius. Mine is for sale.

@@jeffcook6877 Hi Jeff. I bought the unit from Alex about 1 year ago. It is the 6kw unit. I paid Aussie Dollars $6150 delivered. About R 70 000. All stainless with pump and controller. It is really well built. With this unit you must add a water bubbler and extraction fan/vacuum pump to draw the gasses away or burn them off. As well you must adjust the controller depending on type of oil as they all crack at different temperatures. I am selling as I need the money for Xmas and I am working far from home and no time to pursue this anymore. Will sell for R40 000. Where are you in RSA? I am in Perth but originally Cape Town. Waste motor oil is technically petroleum but with small amounts of gasoline and when you distill it once, you'll get a more flammable kerosene.

Would not suggest it, there is generaly a high content of Sulpher in the process of cleaning the diesel, it's ideal for old type diesel engines with old mechanical fuel pumps.

FOR CR applications with DPF filters for ex. E5 E6 engines - You may try 2T fully synthetic oil mixture, but best is regular injection pump, or eventually E4 engine on CR without dpf combined with regular mineral 2t oil mixture.

You don't need a copper distillery if your distilling fuel . Copper is anti microbial & is not needed unless distilling consumable product . If distilling consumables... you can get away with stainless , but your condenser needs to include copper !!!! Think Botchulism ! Copper is a safety mechanism for consumeable distillates . Could get away with simple copper sieve pending purity you need ... pending what exactly you're after ! Study every aspect of the distillate you're after ... procede with ⚠️

Помогает, у меня все узлы отбора с затворами, но необходим либо общий контур соединяющий верхний объём рабочих цилиндров, для уравновешивания давления, и этот контур должен выходитьчерез подобие колонны с хорошим холодильником сверху, для конденсации паров и осаждения жидкой фазы обратно - желательно в узел отбора, а сам такой дыхательный контур помимо отверстия прикрытого свободно лежащей закрывающей пластинкой из металла (нипель - туда дуй, оттуда ...) только наоборот оттуда выходит в случае прыжка давления скажем от упавшей капли сконденсировавшейся воды... таквот такой узел должен бытьподключён к откачке газов и желательно их дожигать, так можно практически полностью исключить вонизму. еще желательно не задиратьтемпературу паров в реакторе выше 410 градусов - тоестьобязательно надо делать автоматический термоконтроль. По убиранию вони из полученного дистиллята планирую выпустить видео уже на днях, сейчас выкладываю видео двух первых дней испытаний на русском. Почти 3 часа ноци, меня уже колбасит, рабочий день начался с 9ти утра, А-А-А-А....

Sorry, not as good at explanations as with metal fabrication, anyway here is what it all about: The "used oil" distiller is a high-temperature device that processes used motor or automatic transmission oils or liquid hydrocarbons at high temperatures. The machine is relatively safe compared to giant monsters where people are trying to boil gallons and gallons of motor oil at once - and no one wants to be next to an extremely hot system filled with hundreds of liters of overheated oil. During distillation, the processing oil is stored in a separate container, and processing oil is continuously pumped into the reactor of the distiller. Simultaneously, the resulting fuel and waste can be evacuated from the distiller into the containers via the pipes. The continuous distiller design eliminates overpressure - the reactor has a bypass. As a result, all the reactions happen at atmospheric pressure, while no oxygen can get into the system. The production rate of the distiller is up to 24L per hour of diesel fraction, which must be treated prior to further use.

Тоесть если такая штука увеличенного размера на сотню тонн в сутки стоит у дяди нефтяного олигарха то это не херня, а если стоит маленькая на 24 литра в час у дяди занимающегося заменой масла в АКПП, который превращает отработанное масло в печное топливо и делает дополнительные деньги вместо расходов на утилизацию у дяди олигарха то это херня? Проблема утилизации отработанных масел существует везде и в Габоне и в Новой Зеландии, и если в габоне тупо льют в землю то в Зеландии утилизировать будут на нефтеперарабатывающем заводе, и опять-же получается что будут масло перегонять у нефтемагната где данная переработка не херня, потому как если сам то херня - логично.
