Carrington tried to block with her palm up, then bent her wrist to enable her fingers to come down into Clark's face. Deliberate? No question about it to any fair-minded, logical viewer. The fact that there was no foul called on the court or any severe, long-term (commensurate with the foul) punishment after the game says all you need to know about the WNBA.

I watched all the receipts after that playoff game and her hand shape toward CC-22 face. It looked like an eagle claw and then there's the actions of her team mates on Carrington's team bench and in the locker room! Looks like the a done deal to me! Less than two minutes into the elimination game for the Fever and the number 1 offensive player get a claw shot to the eye!

It Took only one year and then his PLL bought out a few of the MLL teams and the rest of the league dissolved. she could EASILY do the same. The fans prior to CC thought they were going to a pride meeting, then a bunch of fans show up with kids and the meetings have changed. The OG fans and the players felt they could get away with mediocre play. They were stuck in the past. Now the quality of play is noticed. Many parents don’t want their kids to see the end of the game pride celebrations.

The WNBA needs a management change up. They are acting like a high school club. Only people they want in the club, are welcomed.. Cathy E. doesn't seem to have the vision and leadership skills to steer them through this. She promotes the "race " issue, and still is trying to compare Angel R and Caitlin. CC surpassed Angel early on. The senior pros speak out and down grade Caitlin. The fans know what they like and appreciate. You can't tell people they " should" choose one player over another. WNBA need real sports professionals running the show. It seems they keep falling short in knowing how to promote the league. Imo. :)

Clark should have clocked Carrington as soon as that happened. Part of the problem with this situation is that Clark needs to stand up for herself, even if means taking self defense training during the offseason. How can a basketball league that is said to be dead in the water for years before CC's appearance, have superstar players? How can a league in state of bankruptcy since its inception can have "legendary" players? The WNBA thought that by doing a Goebbles' tactic they can make a dead league appear to be a dynamic league with full pack arenas with screaming fans. The WNBA have not experienced a full pack arena with wildly screaming fans until Caitlin Clark joined the league. Now the WNBA has a true superstar and potential legendary player unlike their fake superstar and legendary players.
