Again you’re missing the point. They haven’t compared her to the players, pound for pound, skill for skill from the players of the past. Remember, I’m not discounting she’s a great player. She is, but there are plenty more great players and more upcoming, namely Shaq’s daughter. Yes, grown women play more aggressively than college athletes and it’s the pro’s. MJ had the same problem his first few years in the league, and it was called the Michael Jordan effect because teams would just be extremely physical with him. Afterwards, he hit the weights and worked on his game so that he could be strong enough to endure playing with grown men in the NBA. If CC takes that page from the playbook, she’ll likely do the same. None of those you mentioned before have said she was the greatest ever in the WNBA. Those I mentioned are HoF’ers or will be soon after they retire in a year or two. CC has gotta a ways to go yet, but she’s on the right track. 💁🏽♂️. Before you respond, unless you can find a clip where they compare CC to those aforementioned, not need to run in circles. Lol. Have a great weekend.

Check the viewership for the semis vs the 2 post season games CC was mauled in. In fact see how many viewers watched the other teams games vs when they played the Fever. Face it she's everything these men-hating lebos wish they were. She's gracious, she's a magnificent player, and she gives of herself. She's NOT a selfish stat padder like others in the league

More people watched fever v sun than watched the wnba final. I'll never watch the wnba after seeing how nasty and jealous fever's black opponents were.

See this is where entitlement and double standards come. So now there's an obligation to make sure she wins. Isn't this like affirmative action isn't it. This goes against when whites say merit only. This is a subliminal way of saying that CC life is worth more than others. Let's not call it a sport no more and call it a pageant. They are using her. It's not gone end well for her career. They build you up to bring you down. She's a toy for the medias agenda. With her looks she could never crossover without the machine backing her. Just like the Beatles. They became famous because of the machine. They had no talent.
@jdgrant58883 ай бұрын
First, try a course in grammar and spelling. Second, Ms Clark has been absolutely amazing throughout her entire career. If the wnba promoted the other players who aren't thugs and carpet-munchers, exclusively, the drop may not have been as extreme. Of course, if there had been fair officiating, the fever may not have excited so quickly. Imagine if Marina Mabrey, and Kamilla Cardoso were added to the existing Fever talent. They would form a dynasty similar to Jordan's Chicago Bulls teams

Yeah you don't know sports, Michael Jordan one of the best at his craft many tuned in to watch him specifically, Tiger Woods one of the best at his craft many tuned in to watch him specifically, Caitlyn Clark one of the best in her craft, many tuned in to watch her specifically. You can't cry and say why do they get the attention but there's players like Drexler and Dumars that deserved to be watched in Jordan era, Rory Mcellory in Woods era, and Wilson/Aces now in the WNBA in Clark era. You can't cry just cause you want to force people to watch Dexler equally like Jordan, or force people to watch Mcellory equally as Woods, or force people to watch everyone else in WNBA as Clark.

I guess the numbers lie. The Washington Mystics. (avg 2023 attendance 4391) This year, their average was over 6542) The two games with CC were over 20K. Ask the businesses surrounding the arena. The semi-final game with Aces and liberty drew 920,000+ viewers. The Fever game vs Connecticut drew 1.8 million. Do the math.

Yes, stop the BS. Its just like when the Lakers lose, NBA ratings go down. Also, if the WNBA “marketed” other players great players like “Stewy”, Aja Wilson, and Diana T ratings would've been much higher prior to cc’s arrival. The reason viewership went up is because the media and WNBA marketed her more than any other player in the history of the game. As a matter of fact, more was spent in marketing her than the Mt. Rushmore of Women Basketball combined: 1. Lisa Leslie 2. Sheryl Swoopes 3. Diana Taurasi 4. A'ja Wilson 5. Sue Bird And lets not forget Dawn Staley and Rebecca Lobo!! Give these other athletes the same marketing and you’ll get similar results or better.
@angkolbiker98663 ай бұрын
Of course but the question is, are they marketable as CC?
@attylawdhg3 ай бұрын
She plays like Steph Curry. Those other players were boring. They can't dunk on a 10' rim, so the great passes and bomb 3's are the draw.
@WELJLOVE3 ай бұрын
All the players listed above are 5 times better than CC. They just dont shoot 3’s. Obviously ya’ll are not true bb fans. Sue could shoot anyone out of the gym, she was a pure shooter and fantastic passer in her prime. If CC had played on a really good team like Tenn, UCONN, Maryland, or USC, she wouldnt be any where near as famous as she is now. She went to good school, with a poor BB program that was struggling to accumulate wins. Great move for her though, but as you can see, when she plays others of her skill level, she's neutralized. She does shoot like Steph, and her game/ability is great.
