i feel the only buff he needs is some good speed or gimmick for his grabs and that's it, a somewhat straightforward character with a decent balance in his abilities who can say bye forever to the balance patches.

@@nicolasvillasecaali7662 personally the buff I feel he needs is old Nair (3frames more hitstun), Limit being 30 seconds (slightly more knockback growth), and downthrow being a combo throw

@@BHRA78 for the sake of avoiding SSB4 Cloud i call for this: -current nair can work if you use it facing away from your opponent, is fast and for some reason have better range than in front (idk why and it is stupid but whatever) -limit for only 20 seconds AT MOST, the current version can work well and we must agree that camping on limit is not that good of a mechanic (just like any camper strat in any game) -im all in with that, at low % is idiotic that you cant at least do cross slash from downthrow

Adrián Villalobos not really. Their recovery and disadvantage in genaral is terrible and they get countered hard by high/top tier characters making them unviable in tournament

They’re too polarizing to be great. They can destroy some matchups, but in others they get destroyed.

they definitely ride the struggle bus hardcore at the highest level play. I like watching Dom play though, and he has gone even with and beaten some top level players. They do what they do well, but def require a secondary due to lots of legit unwinnable matchups

It's matches like this that bring the worst scrubs in the community. There is no denying that Sparg0 is amazingly talented and he's probably the best dang Cloud on the planet. But Dom is still one of the only Pro Belmont mains that still bothers to put faith in the character and try and evolve the meta around him. But no, all you hear is ''A- Hyuck Belmont spam! just press B'''! If youre losing to ''spammy scrubby'' Belmonts online. You suck. For real, you do. This character is laggy as hell and easily gimpable. Slow and Chunky with the grace of a waddling Barney the Dinosaur. The Belmonts SUCK. They can't even kill at decent percentages unless its forward smash. Which you can see a MILE away. I sincerely don't understand how everyone likes to root against such an underdog character. I'm sure its REAL fun for Dom putting all that effort in setups, positioning and timing the damn whip just to BARELY get rewarded. While characters like Cloud, the shotos or JUST about any other ZONER that isn't a Belmont... like FUCKING SNAKE. Who hits like a truck and has AMAZING recovery... Rack up quick damage and have plenty of kill confirms. The Belmonts aren't Ness. YOU CANNOT SPAM with this character. If you do that...YOU WILL get murdered. Playing the Belmonts its like walking a tightrope while balancing a bunch of plates on both hands. Make one mistake and youre going down. NOT EVEN at pro level. Just average gameplay. It's so absolutely shitty how people like Dom try their best to make this FAILURE of a character work when everyone is like ''lol shitty character, get beat ah hyuck''. Yeah fuck having different characters. Let's just watch Wolfs and Lucina nair and fair eachother to death. I'm gonna keep vouching for Dom, Win or Lose he's fighting the good fight of maining a character that HE carries. If you ever watch him on stream, you can tell his fundamentals are strong and he legit knows what he's doing. But guess what. Even he can't fight the online. I wonder why? oh right. The BELMONTS SUCK. They aren't the lag gods people make them out to be. That would be Little Mac or Ganondorf. Easy.

Exactly. This, however, is the mentality of the people that are bad at the game. Whenever someone loses to a belmont they shit on the character AND THE PERSON using the character but they are COMPLETELY ok if someone uses palutena, nairs until 60% and projectile spam/camp in the corner. Oh yes, for them, that is "skill". Bless you for understanding how the belmonts work.

Belmonts are low tier as fuck that requires the patience of the saint to even play properly. You play the character for real and see how really painful it is to play them.
