I remember seeing Wayne perked on WHAS TV 11 in Louisville KY back in 1976 and 1977 when I used to live in Louisville.

Wayne Perkey was, and is, such a part of the heartbeat of Louisville. It’s fun to hear him when he was younger. But we’re ever so thankful we got him! WHAS was #1 when he was there, music was played, radio personalities were family. And, as a teacher, I had to hear Wayne read the school closings to know it was true. He still lives here. We still love him.

Does he still broadcast? I’m not from up there.

I hope Wayne didn't puke nearly as much when he got to WHAS.

timothy myers yeah. WHAS used to be a great station when the Bingham family owned it. Live local 24-7 and a full service AM blowtorch

@@ChadQuick270W WHAS use to be set on my radio constantly when I was a teenager living in Western North Carolina. This was back in the Joe Donovan overnight oldies era.

When I was a kid in Pennsylvania, that's one of the stations You could get at night. (WHAS) Listening to those 50k watt stations skipping was a pastime of mine in the 70s.

The Nancy Wilson song came from a movie whose soundtrack produced a better known hit...Frank Sinatra's "Strangers In The Night"

I wonder where the practice of disc jockeys talking like that got started.
