You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzbin.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

I took one of Wiilliam Ng's class and I learned so much in that week it was scary! I'd take more classes but the California traffic is insane! To travel 30 miles, plan on about 2 hours EACH WAY! His shop, while being immaculate is every Woodworker's dream and his instruction is the VERY, VERY best! This man is a product of the El Cerrito program where he took EVERY clsss and then began teaching before striking off on his own! He is SIMPLY AMAZING!

I couldn't hit like fast enough! So looking forward to more! Also, I've started to work with more rougher boards other than plywood lately. I have found that when ripping wider boards, the bandsaw is the prefered tool to minimize the risk of the boards releasing internal tension. Then take it to the table saw.

Yes! Glad that you are going to make more videos. Please remember that when outfitting your shop that many of us are on very tight budgets. That said yes the Sawstop is a great saw. Being a little older and working large sheets and long boards I have found an infeed table is great.

I just recently discovered you on KZbin Mr Ng, in fact I’ve kinda just discovered KZbin, yeah I’m an old and in the way old school type of guy. All my life I’ve made my living out in the field building houses and such and then in the shop building cabs, and occasionally custom doors and windows, I’m trying real hard to retire now. I find it very refreshing to come across a person who really understands the the full “why, how, and way” of things. You are old school yourself, that’s a compliment, All of the diy, home improvement, and wood shop shows on the tv are just so much garbage, all air and no solid content, sorry Norm, the big box home improvement store’s must love them because of all the tv inspired amateur Diy’ers that go to them to get tools they will never learn to use keep them in business. I just put together my PCS and I agree with you. The written documentation is as good as I have seen with any equipment. Everything fit well other than the fence tube bolts which were very hard to get started. The installation manuals were spot on. Sawstop is very well engineered and the documentation was great. Now to replace all my sleds and jigs from my old Delta 444. :)

Great tips, i just sold my beloved Uni-Saw and purchased the 3 HP Saw Stop PCS. i have been in a wheelchair for over 36 years and other than help getting it out of the box and on its stand, i, assembled the rest of it and adjusted it by myself. the blade to miter gauge was out 16 thousands and i used my dial indicator to get it absolutely perfect from front to back of the blade...not even a thousand out. the way that the engineers designed the adjustment made it so easy to do. Great saw and great customer service!

I always learn something.. need to check out very super cool tools.. they make a biesemeyer t square fence that uses a extruded aluminum rail that you can use jessum stock guides.. it’s awesome.. you can get different height fences for cutting tenons and raised panels.
