They must have patched this, being near the feet no longer stops the ranged attacks, the ones that are very hard to block

Especially the second phase is way harder now (after the patch). The charging attack is extremely fast and you have to deflect it more often to finally kill it. Use Absorb Vitality (Wood Phase). It helped me a lot in this fight.

Hands down one of the hardest bosses for me in Wo Long. 😂 I killed Lu Bu in four tries, but this guy took at least twenty. But i also had problems with the fire giant in Elden Ring, so i just probably suck at big bosses with bad camera angels! 😂

The first phase feels like it takes forever even if you do everything right then the second phase has that annoying to time charge attack. Worst boss in the game so far

@@slizzmo the last phase isn’t as bad as I thought, you only need to deflect that charge attack a couple of times and then you take is whole health bar. Just run away from him until he charges

I dunno what version of the game this is, but the Taotie I just beaten now, shoots projectiles even if you decide to attack it melee. It shoots 2-3 projectiles or 1 huge crystal ball that halves my health bar at level 45. If you're below this boss you won't see the projectiles coming. Also, it summons some undead warriors everytime it spits poison. So this method is simply not effective if you're playing the later versions.

Ok but how are you supposed to deflect the projectiles when you're right next to him? You just got good rng for that part, staying close the whole time is not a really viable strat

This is the easiest boss ive killed. Just one try. Just stay far away and cheer up your companion. Throw spell or projectile.

Taotie pretty cool fight, unless you have issue parry charge, 2nd phase. If you can parry Taotie's charge, 2nd phase, and deflect when he do the UFO descent on your head, you don't need much health for 2nd phase. For me, it hard to see the red star projectiles. They don't come at you in straight line. They kinda drop, then pursue like torpedo, and evade your visual detection.

Fucking loved the Lu Bu fight…and this is just horrid. Easy, but annoying since it’s so damn big I can’t see some of the projectiles he shot cause his body blocked them until the last second. Finally beat him on the third try.

They definitely buffed this boss a lot. I see other peoples old videos beating him and there dealing so much posture damage quickly from just attacking and im using the same sword and deal barely any posture damage from attacking. Ive beat every boss in 5 or less tries just from parrying everything, but this boss is giving me some issues.

Same, I'd come home from work and just practice/study Lu Bu for an hour and ended up getting him after 4 days. Got to this guy and thought how the hell such an easy boss could follow Lu Bu 😂 I think the devs wanted to give a little break from the difficulty curve
