I made a pretty nasty multi status effect build. Evil Taoist set with a Toxic Weapon Enchant embedded into my weapon with a flat extra Weapon Attack embedment. Using Tengshe you can keep up all the statuses indefinitely just attacking normally. I use Heaven's Rage and Engulfing Inferno before Fatal Striking, you get that increased damage taken debuff on enemies from the set bonuses increasing fatal strike and everything else.

If Cao Cao's sword doesn't have swift lightning, you can farm it in the Lu bu mission. There's this building with a main flag upstairs and a panda downstairs (you'll know it when you see it. It's one of the last 3 flags in the mission) There are 2 enemies around the building and one in the building downstairs. Farm those 3 enemies. They drop Cao Cao's gear. You should get a Heaven's reliance with swift lightning pretty quickly

I noticed a lot of people are going straight for fire but I'm using Metal, Wood, and dumping a bit in Earth. I noticed that Shock reduced Toxic resistance so I've been dying to see if I can create a Toxic weapon build. Change armor stats to Accumulation and Wizardry damage or maybe Toxic after testing a bit.

I've tested the resist thing and tbh i didn't notice a significant uptick on my status application, so scrapped the idea. maybe it'll matter with higher stats and minmax gear but barebones it was meh. let me know if you find success in it

I picked up an accessory that has the flag location ability. Wearing a whole set just for that is insane lmfao. I get so lucky with my accessory drops. HP gain for melee damage I deal A- and flag locations on map. Haven’t even gotten to ng+ yet

that's what the video implies, so yes. the other stuff seems a bit more situational and niche like status buildup or stealth. this is simple, big dmg and burns, with easy 1 tap status (spirit). wood is basically the vigor stat in souls games, mostly hp pump and dump. so this gets hp + dmg, so balanced build.

I haven't tested water too much, but spells seemed a bit meh. i tried that stealth spell at 8 water and enemies noticed me immediately still so was like lol nah. dual swords and stuff tend to scale with it tho so there's that to consider

as said, use zhang set. you can get him earlier than cao cao, so bring him on missions, and you can get and farm cao cao later if need be, he has his own mission in chapter 3-4. zhang does not i dont think

You can farm cups of cordiality if you don't want to fight it's on part 2 of the battlefield pretty early on To be exact on the demon fort of the yellow heaven

no, it'll be random on drop. you'll have to farm the cao cao mission from plum side mission, or just use another sword. next build will use solely the guding sword so if you want a better build use that one

what do you mean? the spells? you'll be able to unlock all the spells in every class by the end of new game. just do the missions to unlock them, and level up to gain points. weapon skills are only 2 and locked, you don't choose them. find them randomly. and stats i show in the video

no, its once per full set you get. however, like nioh, the gear can drop randomly later, this is just a guaranteed system so new players aren't forced to grind out missions to have a stable set of gear to use

Haven't fully worked it out, but I am doing an Earth/ wood build with damage reduction and damage reduction while attacking as the focus. Pop the no stagger wizardry from earth and the dragon summon and keep swinging until it dies

Im so sad that we had Nioh 2 which was a easy 250hrs out the gate. And this is their new game with barely 60hrs with no real end game. What a step backwards. Also the combat is so basic compared to nioh 2. Im gonna enjoy it, but I guess we still wait for nioh 3.
