Angelina Jordan (born Angelina Jordan Astar; 10 January 2006) is a Norwegian singer now living in Los Angeles, whose audition for the 2014 season of Norway's Got Talent, singing "Gloomy Sunday" in the style of Billie Holiday, became a viral video online and brought her worldwide press coverage at the age of 8.[1][2] She went on to win the competition with her performance of George Gershwin's "Summertime". Since then she has worked to raise millions of dollars on behalf of environmental causes and children's charities around the world. She always performs barefoot, after befriending a young shoeless girl and giving her shoes to her. Jordan wrote a book about the experience and became the youngest published author in Norway.

What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 16 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time. Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. She entered and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. She never has nerves when she sings. Any inflections or wavering in her voice is intentional to her jazz foundation. I agree with you. Best cover of this song. She brought out the story, the gist of the story, which is one of the gifts she brings when singing a cover. She gets to the heart, the truth of the story and you can hear every word. That same ability to get to the heart of a song is demonstrated in her more recent cover, dropped this year 2022 at age 16, OF "Suspicious Minds," made famous by Elvis. Thank you for your time. You're right, that's her own interpretation and arrangement of Rhapsody. I remember when that song first came out in '75 and have heard it 1,000s of times since then, but somewhere along the way I stopped listening to the words, to the story. Currently going by the name Jim Jack, he goes from one Angelina reactor to another, leaving negative criticism, comments, lies, and says she not really that good and other singers are much better than her. We Angels are fans of other singers, but Angelina artistry is on another level for many of us. You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (150+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. She's never nervous. The stage is her sancturary, her 2nd home, she loves singing for people. She's performed in front of bigger crowds before AGT, The band Queen loved it so much they tweeted it, WOW! What a rendition! She had happy tears when she got back on stage to sing again for people, after the world shutdown for couple years because of C19. She has tons of covers that thanks the previous singer, but made them her own. She has her own songs she's written as well.

If you're referring to the black and white video, she was 2 months past her 9th birthday. The arrangement was all hers also. The band affectionately referred to her as "The Boss" because she knew just what she wanted, and how she wanted it done. Great reaction. I think you mistook her vibrato for nerves. She has one of the most unique vibratos ever heard, that from vocal teachers not just a fan. Norwegian born Angelina began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Influences include Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Diana Washington, Adele, Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Lana del Rey, and many more. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! This is AJ's arrangement, which is often commented on, but IMO overlooked for its brilliance. She begins a capella, then introduces the guitar as a complement to her perfectly-pitched vocals, centering the composition and allowing her to move away from the breathy introduction and into sustained vibrato, pushing more power and open emotion into the song as the piano joins the guitar, building to a crescendo that perfectly matches the lyrics, then finally back into a restrained coda that is almost a capella, featuring a few rich piano and guitar chords. The whole performance is just absolutely masterful. The more you understand composition, the more admiration you have for what AJ has created. And then performed live. This performance alone should have won the competition.

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. No nerves. She was 8 years old singing to the 2 Nobel Peace Prize winners , Kailash and Malala on stage in front of thousands of people waving to them while singing. So I can go on and on mention other events where she performed at a young age.
