I, my wife, and children were about 20 feet from Keith and Lyndsey as this unfolded. I watched as people were shot. There is no amount of money I wouldn’t pay to get that image out of my mind now. After seeing her photo, my wife immediately knew who she was because she was just on a case with her less than a month ago as opposing counsel (they are both attorneys). We saw as Keith was doing CPR to save her life, others were screaming in agony, yelling for help, first responders and officers running to aid people, and just being in absolute shock. Physically my family was unharmed, but mentally it is going to be an uphill climb. Keith, you and your beautiful children are in my thoughts every single minute of every hour. Every word you say about your beautiful wife Lyndsey is like hearing the words I would say about my dear, Elissa. It breaks my heart that you lost the love of your life to this senseless violence. I am so so very sorry.

It just broke my heart to hear the pain in this grieving man's heart. You can see the painful stress he's going through from the death of his wife, so would anyone expect him to speak of what he's going through? It's hard when you see a man cry, because they are taught from a child, that men don't cry because they are tough. This is so very foolish because they are human like anyone else. The young girl understands in her own way that her mother is not coming back, but the lil boy and baby girl will continue to look for and ask for their mom. I pray for the comfort that only God can give to this family at this time. I pray for the daily void that this family will have to endure, and the love and support doesn't stop once the funeral is over...because the road for this father and his children is just beginning. Prayers for the family and all who loved her and cared about her. I pray that the right words of encouragement reach their souls and gives them comfort to get them through this new journey they are on. I know the struggle was hard for the pain was deep but he stood there speaking with love for his wife and his children and kept himself together even though he often could barely make it to talk BUT HE DID IT!!
