Let's check out the Woakwine Cutting, near Beachport, in the south east of South Australia.
Designed to drain swampland, it was dug through the Woakwine Range by just two men and a tractor. The project began in 1957 and took three years to complete.
The cutting is one kilometre long and the deepest point is 28 metres.
