When I release the thrower it returns to the 8 o'clock position. How do I get it to the 12 o'clock position to remove the spring?

For the Fowl Play just switch it to disarm and step on the pedal. For the Raven you 1. Fire the release switch. 2. Turn the hand knob a bunch of times to release some tension. Repeat until off.
