This is one of the most amazing documentaries I’ve watched! The volcanologists and scientists have made such massive strides in researching how volcanoes act etc, which will help to save lives in the end. I have immense respect for these brave souls. Thank you very much 🙏🏽🙏🏽

This was one of the best documentaries that I have ever seen. The whole team even the people who helped bring the materials equipment, they all deserve it. That lava lake is massive and the closeup on the shoreline was mesmerizing . Thanks to them, they can monitor data and changes on Nyiragongo which can help save thousands of lives. Great documentary!

I remember seeing a news report on this, and it was the funniest beaurocratic red tape fail ive ever seen. Elected officials were like "Citizens of Goma, give us a few minutes, we'll create an evac plan." After the plan was planned and they went back out... to announce it...to crickets. Everybody had already walked across the border into Rwanda and i thought i was going to pee on myself laughing.
@dannyamisi3 ай бұрын
Most people had to run for their lives before anything else, some of us stayed to see how things go before evacuating...no one believes in those plans here, we just use instinct to decide to go or not go and media social to share some vital information like which direction the lava is flowing in, etc.

Wow. Raw and terrifying beauty. I can see how it would be mesmerizing. and this amazing documentary captures that. Though I wouldn't be climbing into a volcano's heart. What amazing people dedicating their lives (and undoubtedly a lot of money) to researching and learning about these volcanoes. Thank you. A fantastic documentary. It actually had me on the edge of my seat, like a movie.

This has been a most beautiful journey into volcanoes we learn a little bit more about this Volcano 🌋 we now know in the will you play the lava flows can move much faster than 60 mph but the composition in it's rock presently as much more stable but still very fluidic I look forward to seeing the next documentary on Mount Nerongongo and to learn more about the new Small Cone on the 2nd Travis

I saw humor in it for some reason.. these robbers aren't as lazy as some of ours in the U.S. Where I live we have two mountains that people like to climb a lot. I choose the harder one because I think the risk of being mugged is a lot less. 😁

1816 The global "Year without summer (big freeze)" 3°C temperature drop and crop failures. April 1815, volcano Mount Tambora began to violently erupt. Millions of tons of ash, dust, and sulfur dioxide were released into the atmosphere, casting a temporary chill across the planet as it Blocked out the Sunlight for months on end. Where is the VIDEO of a major volcanic event taking place in the 21st century??? And why were they not prepared for armed rebels in the middle of an armed rebellion? It just feels like they need to revisit their whole approach to volcanology in this region, unstable in so many ways.

All of that is well and good where are the results of all that data? Never mentioned the seismic activity but there was data before stations were destroyed. Levels of games? The radio isotopes they were testing for? I enjoy watching these types of documentaries but I'm tires of no information from the results of all their work. Don't have to be a scientist to want curiosity satisfied. And the people settling closer to the volcano, has the government warned them? They could move to the other side of the city before getting too settled. Just a thought.
