I love Wode Maya!! And Thank You kind Sir for speaking the truth!! As an African American the everyday drama in the lives of OUR African Sisters n Brothers does NOT encourage me to visit, live Africa. It’s home, so eventually WE gotta come, but culturally we need lots of honest, insightful, BLESSED Special Africans to guide US and hold OUR collective hands. Stay prayed up Wode sweetie and don’t let the haters hurt that lil Village boy! Kiss the wifey for US! Peace n Blessings! And I love the team interviewing!! Ya’ll is on point and asking the REAL DIFFICULT questions!! And there lies the difference between MOTHER AFRICA n the United States, the questions, the answers, and the fallout! Y’all make me MISS what I ain’t even seen, breathed, held or dreamed! Thanks, that word can’t even scratch the surface! The Ancestors know…

Wode Maya is wise beyond his age and so authentic. Continue to be yourself, continue to inspire and keep up the good work. I see that people in your generation have started a movement for change in the country and the continent as a whole. You’re influencing the next generation and those after positively. It’ll take sometime due to the magnitude of the problems especially the mental slavery but will eventually happen. You’re walking in the steps of some great ancestors but we need consistent messaging so don’t give up.

I used to road ship heavy duty equipment to Togo and Bennin around 2002. This was used as onboard ship discharging equipment and return the equipment when the job is done. "Deux mille" (two thousand) or you dont pass, they will ask you to stand aside if you ask what the deux mille is for. I have gone through this many many time, because anytime I pass through the Gh-Togo border. Somewhere in 2005 or 2006, I was at the border going through one of such fights and a then minister (the late Maj. Quashigah) was also passing through and I tried to draw his attention to what was going on and till date, it is still going on. I was so mad I told the immigration officers at the Gh side to take note of how we were being treated by the Togo official. it's about time this is ended. Kudos to Maya for exposing this to the world.

The problem with Aflao border has always been that when a traveler is crossing into Ghana from Togo, the Ghana Immigration and CEPS and other immigration officers would be collecting money from him or her until the traveler got to Aflao Main Station to board a vehicle. It has been happening same way when one is crossing the boarder into Togo. In fact, I crossed many borders within west Africa and the scenario is the same. Our airports are equally the most annoying and embarrassing situations when it comes to money collection from travelers
