"The core of Woe, Is Me is still sitting here..." There is only 2 out of the 7 original members left. Austin, you can drum, program, and put together a great band... But that doesn't make you the band. Woe, Is Me is a musical powerhouse of inovation and feeling. I loved Numbers! It's the best post-hardcore album in the world. But there were other pieces to this ensemble... and sadly... the core just isn't enough for me... The world deserves more than the seeds of this fruit.

Austin's one of the only two original members, so I think he knows the idea and the core of the band more than anyone. He's not a control freak, but someone's gotta be a leader, and I think he does it well.

ben cory and michael have just been in the band longer then previous members. the guitarist who wrote their first album, which got them signed, was kicked out or left. hance was the original vocalist and was replaced by tyler. It doesn't matter. i think they're still a great band and will do great things.

Dylan left because of tour life, and bennet left because Dylan left. Dylan said it in an interview a few months after he left. Austin was obviously the boss of WIM im suprised so many people never knew.

i'm gonna try to be optimistic here. anyone who has followed Legacy for a while may know what i'm talking about. Legacy was an awesome band that started out small, and has now released their first full length. i started listening to Legacy when the original members made an EP and i loved it. i don't think that ANY original members are still in Legacy, but their new cd still sounds great. i'm hoping the same basic thing happens with WIM

My thing is that I'm a fan of bans mainly because of the singers. There's no other way to put it. I started off loving Woe, Is Me because of Tyler Carter. He was this band for me. After he left, I stuck with them. I was ready to give Hance a chance, while still having Michael there to back him up. Now that both of the original singers are gone, it seems like a brand new band. Instruments are played (relatively) the same. Singers all have their own unique sound. Just another new band to listen to

I understand Austin has sort of a 'I am the king' title and let's off sort of a douchey personality but if it wasn't for him, woe is me wouldn't even exist. I met him at a show back in August and he's a really nice and down to earth guy.
