To all the people who didn’t think recorder could be a good instrument with good pieces before, recorder has been around since the baroque period making it extremely old, it was used in quite delightful pieces and major classical composers also made some pieces for it, a lot which was covered up by the awful teaching of schools
@fhpurcell77135 жыл бұрын
ARandomMishMash _ thank you! More people should think this way. I am part of a baroque/renaissance music recorder ensemble and believe me, there is a vast variety of music that you can play and interpret sounding good with only recorders. It’s one of the most underrated instruments I know.

@sudonim75524 жыл бұрын
@@utha2665 Nope. The Western transverse flute and recorder are actually two completely different instruments with different origins. The transverse flute traces its roots back to Asia, whereas the recorder was invented in Europe. They were developed separately alongside one another. European artists ended up favoring the flute over the recorder, but the recorder is still a very unique instrument with a lot of potential. I'd like to see it play a greater role in music, perhaps with a modernization of the instrument like what was done with the flute and clarinet.

I never guess the recorder can sounds like that, hats off

It can sound like many things! Try searching up the Recorder family! I'm playing on an Alto which is a bit lower than the performer's. Sopraninos can go higher than his, too.

I feel bad for all the parents who show their kids this and then have to deal with screeching for the next 5 years

Rusty Kinks maybe the screeching is asmr for her or something but she sounds like she was trippin
