The Athletic already reported that it began as a consensual relationship, the organization was aware of it 2 months ago and apparently nothing was suspension-worthy, but at some point it devolved into Udoka making unwanted comments to the person. Which shows why almost all major businesses have rules and restrictions on these types of relationships, especially when there's a power difference between the parties: a consensual personal relationship can quickly devolve into non-consensual workplace relationship.

Intimate relationships are a tricky situation. The senior person might exploit his position. Or share preferable information to their partner. Or the junior person might sue the firm if they feel the consensual thing is not so consensual anymore. Or they can just exploit the situation by putting the senior person in a tough situation. Not every firm consider it a huge offense but everyone consider a consensual relationship in same org to be reported asap so the firm can protect the people involved and itself better.

There is a legal reason why he wasn’t just fired. I don’t think it was what he did, but who he did it too. He knocked off someone’s wife IMO, and when it came out she saved herself. Until they tell us we are free to speculate

If they don’t show favoritism why isn’t she suspended? And She’s the one that’s married.

I won't be surprised if the female worker is suing. They might settle out of court before it goes crazy.
