@@I.am_Groot I have MJ as the goat, but this has got to be the worst anti-Bron argument I've in some time. Bill played when the NBA was still new, there were 9 teams, basically no skilled players, no strategy/set plays, no basketball specific training, etc. Players back then needed a coach as much as I need a coach for a game of pickup basketball. They weren't running plays, it was back to the basket and dunk or hook shoot. I could have coached the Celtics and win. There's 70 years of evolution since Bill's days, more skilled players, analytics, sports science, training camps, full coaching staff, over a hundred different plays coaches could run, etc. It's not the same as the 50s and 60s. If you want to use a modern example (2010+), go for it, but miss me with the 50s.

JJ Redick has good ball knowledge and a high basketball IQ. Game analysis is different to real time decision making and play calling in game.... This could turn out bad or could be a revelation. However .... Lakers need to improve their team. Spencer dinwidie and Gabe Vincent are useless, Rui & Dlo are too inconsistent. Christian woods is Meh. My stupid Lakers. Could be hiring a coach from another staff (let’s say T’Wolves or OKC). Which would also help recruiting possible stars post LeBron/AD. Or pry away Becky Hammon or Dawn Staley, if they would even consider. JJ being hired would just feel like further nepotism move by an organization swallowed by nepotism from ownership downwards. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Lakers just draft Bronny on the 1st round. Its such a drama show

If LeBron and AD fully endorse JJ Redick, this may really happen. This is so crazy, though.

Borrego certainly seems like he's worth a long look. I just wonder though, who really would WANT this job? Shi* show management plus deal with LeDiva James. Who needs that?

Not as a head coach his teams consistently could not establish any defensive identity but getting buckets is in his skill set so if they hire JJ or another HC with training wheels I think Borrego would be a solid assistant

Get the pelicans assistant. Make bron the point forward. Not JJ Reddick who has never coached.

Obviously JJ is trying hard to sell himself as competent personality through that cringey podcast with LeBron. Both of them are having secret interests and it's not just money or teaching casuals how basketball works.

If the Lakers aren't looking to hire Mark Jackson then they'll be wasting another year of Lebron with whoever they end up hiring.

The Lakers next year will have two coaches and four players standing still on offense and only 4 playing defense. The player that is also the coach will just manage the referees.

Out of all Coaches you're going to pick JJ Reddick After he just had an Interview with Lebron Who has no Coaching experience? If the Lakers Hire JJ Reddick, it's just to appease Lebron. It's Not a coincidence
