I saw the demo where Yasuke's walking around in a village and the villagers all step aside and bow to him. Like, WHAT?! Not all of Japan would know of Yasuke, and the people who don't would stare and question who the hell that guy is, why he's so tall, why he's wearing armor and whether if he stole it or not, and why his skin is so dark.

There are so many things that go against him being a samurai that if it did happen I can't see how it wouldn't have caused huge issues within Oda's camp or wouldn't have been a huge historical event that would be more than two or three letters. 1) Yasuke was in Japan with Oda for what about two years? Samurai start their training as children so I doubt he had the time to learn everything that would make him a samurai. FFS we know for a fact that a European who did in fact earn the title of samurai took five years to gain it and what Yasuke did it in less than two, maybe one or a few months? There is no way that wouldn't caused huge ripples in Oda's camp. How can William Adam entire life be documented by the Japanese but not for Yasuke who apparently did it earlier or even first? I'm calling bs. 2) People might reference that Yasuke got a stipend, sword and so on but Oda was highly unconventionally and gave out stipends, swords, houses or land to a lot of people in defiance to what would be socially normal. He was giving them to Sumo wrestlers, merchants and people who he just took a general interest in. They weren't being called Samurai. 3) Yasuke did not end himself after his master or lord is killed. That is dam near impossible for Samurai who take their oaths super seriously and will ask for Seppuku as it was the honourable way to die. It would be witnessed by the winning side. It would be a huge dishonour not to do it and so if he was a Samurai that certainly would have been taken note of. Why he couldn't commit Seppuku? Maybe hear me out because he wasn't a Samurai and bound by their rules? Instead depending on the version he was allowed to leave or taken back to whomever? Nah they had strict warrior codes back than. Letting an enemy warrior go free would be rare as hell considering they would be a possible thorn in your side for years after?

Here is the extremely oversimplified explanation of why this is a problem. Ezio is a fictional character that interacted with real people from history. Therefore, history doesn’t change when telling his story. Yasuke was a real person that lived during this time period. Therefore, changing his story actually rewrites history.

Notice how every previous game has the main protagonist be native of the settings. Yet here we have Yasuke: Whose African not even native to Japan. They couldn't even make an original character of the Ainu Tribe. The closest to black Japanese native. With Yasuke having hip hop themed battle music, Ubisoft thinking it was a good idea to make a figurine of the Torii Gate and pushing the date to the anniversary of the Tokyo Subway Sarin attacks. This might be one of the most tone-deaf videogames ever made.

This game is just an insult to everyone because the woke white liberal activists are making everyone in the west look bad and I cannot wait to see this game fail but on the other hand Ghost of Tsushima is going to get even better and I cannot wait for the next Ghost game. Also I am going to ignore the bits where people point out how Yasuke is black because that is when I just lose more and more braincells because those freaks know that pointing it out will trigger more people. Also the new release date marks the 30th anniversary of one of the worst terrorist attacks in Japanese history, I am so done with this franchise, Unity was the last game for me.

Since when do people shill for Assassin’s Creed? Back in the day it was just a dedicated fanbase I belonged to, the rest of the people were like “Oh cool” and that’s it. This is strange.
