Our ancestors were shipped out of India 150 years ago, but they never allowed the next generations to forget who we are and where we came from. Some parents living abroad are really stupid beyond compare. Like my own sister, she eats beef and her son too eats beef but she pretends to be a well cultured and religious individual during the various festivals, just becoz she doesn't want the local Hindu community to boycott her from attending the festivities held by them. So I tried to put some thought in her brain about why it's a bad idea to eat beef, we are not going to go against the local people of a foreign country for eating beef, cuz it's in their culture to eat beef but we have to preserve our culture as well, so we don't eat beef becoz cattles are considered domesticable pet animals in the Hindu culture, just like it's dogs and cats are for the westerners. But she totally refused to listen to me. So to just piss me off, she ordered a beef burger and ate it right before attending a pooja festival held at the local Hindu temple. So I too went out of my way and discussed about reporting her to the Hindu community committee about how she misbehaves when it comes to Hinduism and culture, and the members of the Hindu community I talked with here, were quite critical and serious about this matter of concern, that they were going to not only disallow her from entering any of the temples anywhere in the country while banning her from attending any type of pooja or festival organised for the Hindus or Indians, but also they will release a list of people who were reportedly anti Hindu by their very nature and so will be banned from attending any temple or festivals held by the Hindu communities. After that discussion with the committee a circular was issued to all the members nationwide and then many of her friends had stopped inviting her for parties and get-togethers in their homes. I put up the matter with my parents to discuss it further and surprisingly had to personally face a lot of wrath on their hands, who otherwise have always been verbally very critical against the anti Hindu sentiments in other people. But now when it came to correcting the insanity of their own daughter, they were choosing to ignore it and want me to sit on this major issue. Now my brother in-law isn't anti Hindu in anyway but he's always oblivious to such troubles brewing up everywhere, so he doesn't bothers himself with such "petty" issues at all. Which has left my nephew to have a very low opinion of India and Hinduism in general. And now becoz he's turned into a teenager, it's impossible for me, his uncle who has recently moved in from the lowly India, to have any kind of say in the matters that can influence him to give a thought about anything at all. So this is the real cause of all our troubles i.e. pretentiously liberal idiots raising their kids to reach the height of idiocy in the foreign nations.

Our ancestors were poor, uneducated farmers and despite their harsh circumstances, they never allowed the next generations to forget our roots. As a result, eventhough, we are multicultural and multilingual, we are still practising Hindus and we are still grounded in Sanatan Dharma. The next generations were born in Suriname. Half of our community left Suriname in the early seventies and settled in The Netherlands, where some of the 4th and the following generations were born. So, we are full blood Hindustanis (in Dutch: Hindoestanen) but we have been Dutch nationals for more than 3 generations, now. If you're interested, you could google Wikipedia Indo Surinamese in The Netherlands. On YT you can find a documentary called " The last Kantraki" about one of very last persons from India of our community.

For example, we Hindus pray to the Sun (Surya) and we honour Water (Ganga). Now, scientifically what was necessary to create and cultivate life on Earth? If you don't know some answer to the questions, tell your kids you're not sure and you'll look it up or find the explanation together. Also, try to learn from anyone who knows more than you. If their answer isn't satisfying enough, look for the next Guru to teach you. Just keep it practical and simple. You'll be amazed how easy you can integrate a hectic life with our ancient wisdom.

Here in USA, if you work for someone else, you are required to do whatever your employer ask you to do or you would be disciplined by demotion, reduced pay or laid off. Normally, employees are not prosecuted when organization is at fault.
