As a satirist myself I have to agree with the Independent Man. It's not anymore obvious that Doyle's article(if indeed it was he) is a hoax than a hundred other articles, papers, and government policies that are every bit as absurd and ridiculous. I find wokeness increasingly beyond satire as it becomes exponentially self satirising.

A black woman heading up a course on 'whiteness' to my mind is the distillation of appropriation: if the mantra is that only lesbians can play lesbians, black blacks, gays gays etc., wouldn't it be appropriate for 'whiteness' to be taught/investigated by 'whites'. With the obvious caveat of the difficulty in identifying candidates objectively as 'white', such a course led by any other colour would necessarily introduce elements of implicit prejudice, racism, colour filtered misanthropy, etc., into the educational approach, given that no one can argue these traits are in the exclusive preserve of 'white' people.
