Actually, Disney hasn't necessarily had a historical preference for "young white skinny folk." At least the passed 40 years or so. If you look at the number of white and non-white princesses, non-white princesses (and typically their male and interpersonal counterparts) are over represented based on the demographics of the American population. 8/14, or 57.1%, of the princesses considered as true princesses in the franchise (for example, Alice from Alice in Wonderland is not consider a princess), are white women. The population of non-Hispanic white people is about 59.3% (75.8% for Hispanic white). I would say this could be considered a fine representation, and I'm just being pedantic by saying the representation is off. My point is, the idea that Disney is racist or is simply trying to diversify is simply untrue. Now, I'm only considering the princess franchise. Disney certainly has other movies that aren't animated or don't have princesses. Disney also tends to focus on female leads, and the bad guys are typically always men, and often men with British (white) accents; even the Arab Jafar has a British accent (because the Brits have a good villain accent). Men are typically also portrayed as poor, dumb, criminals, or brutish. These aren't even complaints; men are better for these roles and are typically good for the story development. I just think all of this is interesting to actually look it when considering identity politics these days. The "diversification," or "un-whiting" ("decolonization"), of media is obviously another topic. We also have to consider that the new rules to win an Oscar (I think it's an Oscar) have changed. For those unaware, the movie needs a certain amount of people of color, women, disabled people, etc. This includes cast and those nom-cast members working on the movie (lighting, props, CGI, etc.) There might be details I don't have 100%, but it starts in 2024, if I'm not mistaken. Look into it, please. Just to clarify what I've claimed. Now, to push back on your argument about Snow White vs Ariel. Ariel is described as white in the original story by Hans Christian Andersen. The argument could also be made that Snow White is simply a moniker for her purity, and that her skin color is irrelevant (which would be absurd, but it could be made based on artistic freedom). The bigger point is, no one cared when Brandi, who is black, played Cinderella, because at that time, it wasnt a forced push for so-called diversity. Brandi was popular, beautiful, and a grear singer. There are other characters they did this with. The issue today is that it's so disingenuous and nefarious. There's no way Tiana will ever be non-black.

There's a lot of Dwarves or little people in Willow! The real, original Willow. Not the one where the bi, asexual, lesbian become's the star, after acting like an insufferable, narc for 9/10's of the show, wishing she were a better man than men. It was that show that encouraged me to get rid of Disney+ and now I've heard it's been taken down + ceased to exist, lol! Same as Star Wars too, Kenny Baker as R2 + all the people who played the Ewoks + alien's, such as the one's operating Jabba! Yet they try + re-write the narrative as if there was no people of color or 'strong' women in ' Patriarchal' Star Wars. This is just Disney showing themselves up as the divisive hypocrites that they are. Finding fault in everything that doesn't pander to their need to control + for us to consume, before they consume themselves. Don't even get me started on the 'independent' women who dance around their own dependency so much, that they need to try + control men, while acting as if they're the oppressed one's. While the comp as a whole secretly encourage's the Chinese to build concentration camps, like they did when filming Mulan. Feminism + communism has always had a close history, but it's still a bunch of con+trolling 'elitist's' that want to suck men dry, no matter what their size. It's just my imo! Please don't confuse speaking real for bitterness.

I'd love to see actual little people comment on the dwarve situation. It's a bit odd. It looks like they turned from the 7 dwarves into the lost boys. Idk. I'd like to know the backstory of the significance of the dwarves in the Snow White story. Is there a reason they're miners? Is there a negative condition for why they're so willing to help Snow?

Do your research before posting rubbish. Snow White is not fantasy. I's basically based on a real German story from 1551.

I think there was one guy, like 40 years ago, that claimed she was based off a real person. That's not great evidence, and it's certainly not proof. The Grimm version is also one of many versions for this tale, there's also a Scottish version. The Grimms also altered their stories (so, they're actually not the originals like people think). The story you're speaking of also started in '49, not '51 (I've also seen '50). She died in '54. They met when she was 16, she died at 21. So, do your research before posting rubbish. At least offer the alternative with some class, instead of being condescending, especially when you're not as educated on the topic as you think.
