it is more work than you think. probably the graphics design team have less issues to deal with. it is very easy to get stuck on the coding you need to study and research before the implementation begins. that is what people not don't take into consideration. the reason why wolcen sucks is probably they lack legendary senior programmers compared to poe and diablo team. the studio is relatively new. if the programmers don't quit, not fired and are allowed to grow. wolcen will grow. progress would be inevitable.

@@adfinemrising it was simple thinks like the base dmg on other skills what kills the game. excample ? bleeding edge after release, insteed of decrease the base dmg of the runes the added a 10 sec cooldown and killd the rune, does it killed the skill ? no , be was still good enough. next was the dupes, was so ez to dupe, did they do anything? no...iam at almost 1400h playtime and i didnt touched the game for "years". i know excactaly what iam talking about . and i can add way more thinks whats wrong with wolcen. i dont even talk about bugs.

I got my 80+ hrs of enjoyment almost entirely bug free (offline) so more content is just icing on the cake. Some animation cancelling and interesting loot would go a long way though.

You can play as a summoner and it should be viable BUT....they have this "let's call it a bug" where if you have too many inputs within a certain timeframe it will lagg you out and either boot you from the session or lagg you out for well over a minute so that the enemies you are fighting make easy work of your afk toon. I keep going back from time to time to see if they fix this problem but a year and some later and it's still just as bad.

New armor skins you can lose when the game bricks again, i've lost ALL my skins/dyes like 4 times since release, the majority you never get back unless you do a full playthrough again, due to being bound to the campaign, maybe, and i'll say maybe, i'll play again when that is fixed a 100%.

@@Vladislaugh Yeah it is. I was REALLY hyped for Umbra, even after it became a simplified game called Wolcen, it showed some promise. It was hard to judge how bad and limited the game actually is before the official release, but it was fishy for me since they've decided to scrap the original idea, so i didn't back it, nor bought Wolcen later on, and my predictions were - unfortunately - right. A piece of shit wrapped in a shiny paper, hyped by paid streamers and tons of ads all over the internet. I mean do you even need a good game to earn millions ? Just make some good art and a couple of flashy trailers, call the game innovative and modern, that's enough. I could bet my balls that they laughed at all the idiots that bought their alpha game in such amounts, while eating foie gras and chasing it with Louis Roederer in their headquarters. In fact, maybe that was the reason why they almost made no progress with the game in almost a year after release 😂

The most important thing you can do for this game is refine the engine. There are still a lot of things that feel very clunky and unfinished (some melee skill interactions like blade flurry) and the overall input - output still has hitches that need to be ironed out. Beyond that, the mechanics for spell casters feel beyond terrible until late game. I don't believe for a single second that anyone on the staff has leveled a mage alongside a melee and thought it was ok. The resource system is incredibly restrictive and un-fun, I think sticking to your guns on this so hard is really detrimental to the campaign experience. At higher levels your build begins to flesh out a lot and your gear can ease some of these furstrations, but it never really gets to a point where mages are as competent as ranged/melee characters. If those things can be fixed, the game will do a lot better, endgame content and progression is very important but they will fail to shine in the face of those issues.

The game needs a goal and a trade, for example,poe have are many goals, from the final goals: to craft a top gun, to make 36 achievements for which they give buns. Of the permanent goals, this is currency farming, which is very necessary, unlike currency in Wolsen. Another mistake of Wolcen - this is a bunch of difficulties (as portals of Diablo 3) this is what ruined the future of Diablo 3, since it is impossible to balance the rest of the content for this. Fan of diablo games with 15 years of experience = -)

Sadly, this game works much worse fps wise than PoE. And PoE is well known for shitiest optimization and engine. So...even if i want to play - it still require much better specs than it should. :( But i wish you good luck...

@@try2fly cmon, why you over react ? How many time you see that. Your game optimization is bad.... my CPU is always at 100% and the fps are bad. Then you ask, what is your hardware... I have a i5 4670K with a GTX 1080Ti and I playing at 1080p 144Hz without Vsync. You see the problem ? This is why is always a good question check your % of CPU and GPU as first question.

I think wolcen is quite good now. I have been playing and so far have run into zero bugs and the game plays butter smooth on my rig. Last time i played wolcen it ran like ass and got this wierd choppy skipping in certain dungeons that was awful. Thats all gone now.

@@DayOfCasual Don't compare Wolcen Studio to No Man's Sky's devs, it's a very different work ethic. Wolcen Studio literally ignores everything and just do their own thing, that's different from actually fixing and reworking your game to make it good. There's no sign of that for Wolcen yet, over a year after release, they're still as deaf to the community and as clueless about what they're doing as they were before :) Thankfully, people are opening their eyes and seeing beyond the graphics itself and start being interested in Last Epoch. It finally got the attention it deserves, in the opposite to Wolcen, that deserves to go back to beta.

I've been following the development since Umbra, and i play ARPGs almost exclusively, so i have a very good understanding of the genre. They're still in deep shit with their game, that's not debatable. I wouldn't expect fanboys to agree, obviously. All you can say is that they've fixed some bugs, with everything else they still struggle. No content, no balance, pets still don't work, low variety of builds, campaign is still not finished, multiplayer works like their servers run on a couple of 3xA 1,5V batteries. Bunch of mods that thought they're good enough to develop an AAA title, but it's not the case. Wish them luck, they will need it to revive this game and regain players' trust. I will continue following it, but this game will forever be in development and will stay mediocre even if they manage to finally finish and fix it. They would have to rework a few things, which is very unlikely.

Can you please fix combat, its is clunky and not smooth at all. Need to improve the engine to make for less input delay. also many game breaking bugs and balance changes needed. please polish the game before adding new content. No point in adding new content if the base game is broken. i wish i could get a refund im so sad.

Offline is pretty smooth, maybe a hiccup here and there, although animation cancelling would be appreciated. Bug fixes are important but those who never experience them soon find that there is a content problem as well, mainly a lack of interesting gear.
