@@keithbate9405 almost a close second I agree. Discovered them three years ago and the two drummer ‘pods’ crate almost an acoustic drum backdrop. Some of the back beat drum effects are the best and something I’ve not seen done since John Grant used the Siouxishe & the banshees drummer on his tour in 2019

@@adriancollins5268 I saw Wolf Alice earlier this year in Birmingham. They were the best band I had seen this year until last Saturday. In a 2000 standing venue only in Manchester. The National gave a breathtakingly brilliant performance. I was just a few feet away from the centre of that stage (no moat) . Matt was on fire . The sound was spot on and they played for nearly Two hours nonstop. No encores. I have been gig going since 1973. This gig is now 7th on my all-time list. My favourite album by the National is the last one (2019) . They only played One track from it = Light years. I assume because no female co/backing singer. But it did not matter. They were simply sensational,

@@keithbate9405 superb and that last album is what got me into The National What’s the top 3 ? With two best friends we’ve done Glastonbury 7 times over 15 years and do loads of smaller venues in and around Bristol. My top three are Free supported by Camel, Cambridge corn exchange 1978 my first big gig. Radiohead Glastonbury 2002 and John Grant Bath Forum Nov 2019. Plus much, much more including Joe Bonamassa at Cheese & Grain in Frome just before he went viral, his tour vehicles in the small car park were bigger than the venue.

Met a man in London last Month who said that she is poor vocally (????) He was an American tourist from Chicago with his family we met on a music walk in London . and we chatted over a drink in the King and Queen Pub (where Bob Dylan played his first ever gig outside the US in 1962) . A big Led Z and Rolling S fan. he wasn't too impressed with WA and Ellie . Of course I disagreed and I saw Led Z and the RS before he did !

For me the best rock band on the planet at the moment. ps now second. ! I saw the National play in Manchester for nearly Two hours nonstop. Best gig I have seen since the 1980's. I like Wolf Alice and am a Radiohead fan, no contest. Your opinion is they are the best band on the planet, your opinion. urm nope not in my opinion. In terms of long play I have seen Bruce Springsteen play for 4 hours at Wembley in the 1980's. Every once in awhile I bookmark moments and places in time that I truly wish I could have experienced. Truly special moments in sports, arts, etc…. This is absolutely one of those moments I wished I could have been at. A perfect performance by a perfect band in a perfect setting. Amazing. Such a great performance set up by an incredible desire to get to this venue by the band.

@@keithbate9405 It doesn’t hit me quite as much, but also a fantastic song. But also, thanks for the suggestion; I’d apparently heard them more than I’d even realized. The opening guitars in Blush sounded vaguely familiar, so I googled “Wolf Alice ‘Life Is Strange’,” and realized they had a song on the soundtrack of one of my favorite game series.

"Last man on earth " is brilliant . But "Blush" is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. For along with Giant peach their masterpiece.

@@serhiy_serhiy They were in the US before and their flight from LA to the UK got cancelled so they asked on social media if anyone could lend them a private jet. They ultimately made it to Glastonbury just in time, though I don't know how exactly!

Best new English band by a long margin. They have cleverly crafted an eclectic sound that appeals to metal heads, electro poppers, grunge and alternative folk and people who just love dancing. With the Wolf you never know what's coming but whatever it is they appeal to a broad audience. They still need to play more from their two EPs and Visions of A Life which is their best album.

i didn't even go to glasto nor anywhere near there to see wolf alice but i always pray they made it to the pyramid stage with all the cancelation flight problem. and so glad they made it.

Once in 2015, I had the opportunity to visit London Gramar's concert in Moscow, but my flight was cancelled and I didn't have time for a full day. I 've been regretting it ever since (((their album of 2022 is simply phenomenal, and the videos for it is a separate art form. I love them
