It's quite symbolic that Yuki and Ame's tracks in the snow weave in and out. Their paths intersect before they split apart in the opposite direction, just like how they chose to embrace different parts of their identity at different points in their lives. But in this brief moment, they don't have to worry about choosing. They're just free to play in the snow as humans and as wolves.

your so right!!! It was what she was trying to do, has raised them, to let them choose if there humans or wolves!!! And the part is taking the beauty of life, yes at this moment let life point the way!! The name of the song im english is "Dance of your nature" she wants to explore, but she doesn't want to throw that in there face, in this moment these is one of those memories that you neva forget, but these moment let your heart dance to who you feel you are, and lets injoy the moment!!! "your name" is still my favorite Anime, but I just recently saw these movie, WOW, disney cant make you feel a family story LIKE this movie did!! it's be like #2 Anime favs. it is a beautiful movie!!

There's so few movies that feel like they manage to breach the profound, but the way this movie portrays something as pure and simple as the joy of running and playing in the snow in such a grand spectacle really shows us how these small moments are the single most important thing ever, like this is the reason we're here, that this is the true meaning of life.

I extremely rarely cry or get emotive with films. But Wolf Children is just something from another world. Each time I watch it, I cry and have tears of pure joy. And the Snow scene is my fave and I cry of happiness : the amazing music, the simplicity of their play, the drawings, the voices. This film is just 10/10, pure gem. Mamoru Hosoda is a wizard and creates films that are a bomb of emotions, but with a sweetness, a subtility and a realism that no one will ever match.

Absolutely… by the time that sequence ends!! of scoring movies 1-4, unless some terrible ending happens, I can’t see this movie hitting a perfect “4” it didn’t. It’s in one of my top five favorite anime of all time.!! Your name is still my #1 but this one is so close!!

One of the best scenes of this beautiful film. Every time I see it, with everyone smiling at the end and Hana looking at the clouds, almost like imagining that her lover, "He", is also there, watching them; I can only think: "pure joy. true freedom".

I love this movie XD I personally think it's better than Wolfwalkers, and I love the family aspect in this. The mother has the strongest love for her kids, even tho they are different, and that's a beautiful message! This is a BEAUTIFUL movie and deserves more love

I always name both movies as best movies ever made. here it's more an educational thing (like mirai made from the same studios), wolf walkers has more mythology inside. background wise this movie is better, wolf walkers in overall animation quality. story wise i think both are equal

i can't believe i found this... my mom left tv playing since i was a child and i watched it when i was 6 years old, typically they showed many new stuff that appeared on tv including this film but i searched for it years ago until i finally found it with 1 simple google search, i remember one exact same picture that i was in film, so i know that this is the one and the story of them both in general, im so relieved

Hana might feel cold but not Ame and Yuki. They are half wolf after all, So I'm guessing they don't feel cold like we do. Even in human form.
