Or A timeline where kipo is a child and still has to deal with all she's dealing with in the series. And her whole body can be reversed like the jaguar fur color and her skin or something like that. And her family managed to escape a fire leaving kipo in a safe place before her parents disappeared. What if she could also talk to a ghost/spirit version of her mega jaguar form to?

it was confirmed that the wolf pelt was the mother's, and in earlier designs they included the pearl necklace as the closure instead of the knot in the final design! but they scrapped it because it was too dark

Wolf and Hugo are probably some of the best written characters in the show. I love Kipo's compassion, Benson's romantic arch and representation and Dave's Daveness but the 2 of them have (or cause) imo some of the most tear jerking moments of the series.

I would LOVE to see an analysis of scarlomane. I feel like people find his redemption arc flimsy and full of shortcomings (and true it’s rushed and not exactly the most realistic) but he honestly wanted nothing more than to feel safe and have the family he thought abandoned him back. He was, from the beginning, taught that deceit and complete control were the only guarantee at safety, and that forgiveness and trust were a folly that resulted in pain. I personally share a lot of his motivations and fears, although I’m lucky enough to have a rock solid support group and not live in a post apocalyptic hell scape. He represents an absolute extreme of my worst nightmare, and is a reminder to step back and ground myself when my anxieties tell me to bare my fangs.

Honestly I’m really annoyed when people treat Margot as a pure backstabber. I mean if you watch carefully when the wolf’s wolf family are about to hunt her down and if you look at her face she’s clearly shocked and confused. (It’s almost like she didn’t want to hunt her down) and she was even willing to let her go in a wolf in Wolf’s clothing before dr Emilia came . I she had so much potential shame it was wasted (that’s all my opinion)

Good retrospective, but I would have liked a bit more analysis of symbolism - her wearing the pelt of a wolf, Stalky and it's loss, her self-identification as a "Lone Wolf" vs wolf pack vs Kipo's friendship dynamics. I am also DYING to know what people think about her relationship with Scarlamane as Kipo's other adopted sibling, the symbolism behind her clothes selection for phrom, and her choice to embrace her role as an alpha for the mega-dogs vs her earlier Lone Wolf persona in Mulholland's dreamscape. This felt like it touched on these topics, but didn't do the deep dive that I think you guys do SO well like for the gems in Steven Universe, or the benders for Avatar. Keep up the great work! How close Amelia was to winning, and why she failed(just a sudden thought): The anti-mutation stuff was based in Kipo. At least, what they had designed. Thus, Kipo was immune to it, due to how normal it was. Had Amelia made the base on another DNA type at any point, then she would have succeeded. For example, cure it during the time she had Song under her control. Thirteen years spent doing whatever. Likely, the knowledge was close enough to the tip of the discovery ladder that they could have rediscovered it all during the 13 years. Thankfully, Amelia is a terrible scientist whose research was based in a xenophobic hate.

This may be a stretch, but if you do another deep dive of character from this show, Jamack would be a good choice. I just find him as a good example of a character whose redemption arc isn't spoonfed and spelled out to the audience the way Wolf and Scarlemagne (although both were done really well) and yet it makes sense to the audience. Like how some of Jamack's more kind characteristics are believable as always being a part of his character even though we don't see any flashback that confirms that, but it still feels natural to his progression from cold, selfish Mod Frog to someone who supports Kipo completely. Just a thought.

When I saw this show for the first time, on Netflix a few months ago, the way Kipo and Benson were talking and interacting in that theme park, I honestly thought that they were gonna kiss and become a thing that night. Until, of course, he admitted that he was gay. Then toward the end of the series, after Wolf got rid of the hood and cape thing, I thought Kipo would turn out to be bi and her and Wolf would share a kiss and become a thing. Apparently, I was wrong both times.

You spend the whole video just recapping things that anyone who saw the series already knows --- and never got to actually breaking down the symbolism as you promised. Of course - such a breakdown of the symbolism would expose how, as great as KIPO AND THE AGE OF WONDERBEASTS is (and it truly is a great series) - it still engages in one really problematic thing -- queerbaiting. You might be thinking: "What? Queerbaiting? That show gives very. EXPLICIT Queer representation!" -- Well yes, it does -- for the LGB part of LGBT --- but like _many_ shows that give explicit LGB representation -- this show still engages in queerbaiting where the T of LGBT is concerned. Have you noticed that the color-theme of Welf's wolf coat (far more-so than when it was a living Wolf-mute) is colored ini a way very reminiscent of the Transgender flag? Coincidence? Well - if you think it is a coincidence -- take a close look at the episode in which we first meed the Tardigrade colony. In Wolf's dream-wolrd, she and Kipo are both in extremely buff bodies. However, while Kipo's body in that dream-world is very. buff yet still female -- Wolf is in an unambiguously male body. Wolf's comment later in the series about not wanting to wear a dress can be written off by pointing out that not all girls are into super-girly stuff ---- but the fact that Wolf is in an unambiguously male body in their own dream-world is far harder to write off. Of course --- the series never actually STATES that Wolf is trans ---- that's why it is called Queer-baiting rather than Queer-representation. So ----- I understand that your stopping shy of delving into Wolf's symbolism as you promised may be due to the fact of it being difficult to face the fact that shows like this that have gotten past the Queerbaiting stage where the LGB part of LGBT is concerned are _still_ in many cases _still_ engaging in Queerbaiting where the T of LGBT is concerned. But you should _not_ have shied from delving into Wolf's symbolism for this reason --- but you should have gone ahead and taken the opportunity to call the show out for failing to make Wolf's trans-ness more explicit.
