Dude watching this at like 1am when I was 13 in 2004 was a fucking VIBE. Thanks for covering this! It deserves more eyes on it. But it's one of those shows where don't go in expecting a happy ending for most of these characters

The paradise they open starts to get corrupted by the Villains eyes. The paradise, the world they then find themselves in is corrupted, therefore the next one they open will be the perfect world they dreamt of and so , driven ,once again Kiba starts running. Knowing full well that this time they ll succeed

It's the characters, and the writing. I felt really connected to each character. The whole premise of the show is very interesting to me. And it feels like they put a lot of care and thought into building this world and story. It's really all about the presentation too. At times it felt like I was watching a movie or, an HBO show. But in short I just really enjoy the story.

the secret message of course! ;) older titles like this, or say.. Angel's Egg do not explicitly spell out the story to us but insinuate stark themes such as nature and adventurism all bottled into a dystopian yet possible world. one doesnt find this nowadays. authors take the easy way and isekai everything to explain every single step to us in a casual 'logical' way. and the music. hands down: the best. nothing compares **edit:..oh. hm. maybe the Lodoss or Macross Plus themes

I've noticed a lot of edgy atheists watch Wolf's rain and just baselessly claim it's a criticism of religion, and say that "paradise is the friends we made along the way" even though Kiba shuts this down regularly, and at the end, they have no choice but to find paradise.

good recap (truly, WR is a hard one), well placed memes, but ffs; u gotta do something about your voice; half the time it is awfully hard to understand your mumbling. I really dont want to be an ass and i can gtfo if I dont like it, but I mean this as constructive criticism. maybe pitch the audio higher somehow however that works. few creators touch this title b/c of the stark differences b/w anime and novel, and u did a splendid job^^
