If you've been thinking about doing mein leben, the DLC's are a great place to start since you only have to do the final chapters. It will show you that you have the skills!

After watching the base game 4 fails... I can see why it took you between DLC 1 and 2 17 fails, as you said you were a bit rusty, but the 3rd DLC was just an easy 1st try with the knowledge of the game stuff in your hands again, not to mention that attempting to have always the high ground really makes encounters a bit easier. I enjoyed those two videos.

I tried 16 times and the highest I ever got was New Orleans I'm done with this trophy and honestly it wouldn't be satisfying to get anyways. This isn't difficult it's unfair, I've beaten perma-deaths before i.e. Dues Ex Mankind Divided and Max Payne 3 on the PS3, but those games have more wiggle room for failure and I never felt like I was constantly playing at a disadvantage or had to use cheap game breaking tactics to progress.

I 100% think Max Payne 3 is worse since the game is buggy af, but I can see why you're not a fan of this. I definitely had some close calls, but after practicing some specific sections of the game, I was able to get through them consistently without any issues. The only time things changed for me was when my nerves were acting up haha. If you were only getting to New Orleans, then I think there are some strategy swaps that are necessary, but if you're tapping out, then I understand
