I played many hours of this in the 90s. Buddy even gave me a cheat book that showed all the secret rooms and treasure. I tried to collect it all but missed a few somehow.

Also, if Wolfenstein RPG was canon, which means that the original BJ Blazkowicz (not the reboot one) was the reason why our Doomguy has to fight demon, since BJ was the one who fatal wounded the Cyber Demon, leading the curse on his grandchildren

I've been playing this game most of my life (I'm 43) and I swear, if I'm wearing headphones and one of the guards sneaks up behind me and one shots me, I still jump out of my seat. The primitive graphics and game engine are a surface level illusion, hiding behind them a perfectly balanced game that still holds up really well, even today.

@@combolynch Sounds about right, hopefully, we'll get a better reboot that doesn't mix Politics into the series (The New Order and Old Blood were great games, don't get me wrong! I prefer Old Blood though.), if anything, I want the series to go back to its Occult theme, and gotta mix with the DOOM 2016/Eternal gameplay to that mix.

I always loved how Doom 2 has a Wolfenstein level. That brings back good memories of me playing this game endlessly and trying to finish it (which I eventually did) I remember having maps and cheat sheets too. They’d detail where treasure, ammo, health and push walls were.

I remember watching my brother play this for hours. He always chose the hardest mode and was killing enemies in a way that he opened the door, shot and waited for enemies to come to him. And after he killed everyone he was going around, pressing every wall to find secrets. I also played it a lot, but didn't come far.

Very true. But we wouldn't have gotten Quake without Doom either, cuz Quake is more or less on the same idea as Doom as far as the kinda enemies you fight whereas Wolfenstein you're just fighting ordinary humans, for the most part anyway.

@Gawayno Agree, but remember Doom 2 has some bugs about to trigger the secrets, the unique way is enabling idclip, the bug is in two maps, the secret should be triggered when the marine is over the teleport floor, but instead, the marine only is teletransported (as is expected) but the secret is not counted. Therefore the idclip does not trigger the teletransportation event and the secret is activated.

@@ManuelJordan317 Yeah, I'm aware that to the point you could get a pain elemental to help you out as shown by Zero Master, but surprisingly, when I did my livestream playthrough of DOOM 2 (It isn't 100% though). Industrial Zone still had 100% in all, so maybe I'm lucky. x_x
