Wolfenstein II : The New Colossus - Mein Leben Playthrough (No Commentary/Kill All Enemies Attempt)

After about a month's worth of nonstop practice, attempts, and sacrificing all manners of organization in my life, I have successfully completed one of the greatest tests of video game skill out there (in my own humble opinion). This is my first time ever beating this challenge.
Unlike literally every other playthrough of Mein Leben out there, I did not use any glitches, did not skip any fight sequences, and went out of my way to find and kill every single killable enemy in the game all while risking my one life. The only exception to this rule is if I kill the commanders before they call for backup. I wandered around excessively after each fight sequence just to catch any stragglers after the music stops (and that can happen pretty often). Feel free to skip past those parts, but I kept everything in for the sake of verification. I also made an active attempt to unlock three perks as quickly as possible simultaneously (those being the Overcharge, Headshot, and Dual Wield perks). Despite being the longest Mein Leben attempt I've seen on KZbin, this is also probably one of, if not the most, purist Mein Leben run(s) recorded. Other than that, enjoy the video.
My Rules (in a Nutshell):
1. Complete Mein Leben Difficulty
2. All Enemies Must Be Killed (Unless I kill the commanders before they call for backup. Also if an AI or an environmental factor kills an enemy, it still counts. Despawning enemies does not count, nor does finishing any levels with enemies remaining.)

Congratulations! Killing all enemies is pretty tricky playing Mein Leben. I'm a big fan of this game. I've played almost 700 hours. I finished 100% (Mein Leben too). If I killed all enemies (I'm not sure), but I know that wasn't when I got Mein Leben. I will try terminal killing all enemies.

I've been playing around in some levels passing without getting hit or passing without killing enemies. There's one on the Manhattan subway that has several dogs. It was very difficult to get through without killing the dogs.

I would say either Venus or the last Ausmerzer section. The pent-up anxiety is definitely the highest since it's near the end. Also the last two levels have the most advanced enemies, especially the ones like the Laserhund and the Zerstörer.

@@simpleguest._.6008 Are you sure that is the exact timestamp that I missed enemies? It seems that I killed them all in that particular elevator after I killed the boss. Also I replayed that level a couple of times and couldn't see any drones. Were the drones simply retreating away from the battlefield and not fighting like on Venus (3:42:58)? Or are you referring to the lift that allows you to view the Da'at Yichud artifacts (1:42:32)? There is an elevator that goes up that holds a bunch of scientists escaping after you leave the boss room (1:53:35), but they are unkillable.

You can get to that place using a simple elevator (1:52:10). A secret place, of the useful there is only a massive weapon, but why is it there after the cleaned hangar above ?! Maybe in 2017 there were people-enemies there, I don't remember, now there are only drones.

Neat easter egg, I suppose. I haven't seen any other recorded footage that shows that area. But good eye, if you're truthful. I'll go check it out for myself again. Edit: You are right, there is a button to lower the elevator and there are like 3 drones down there. My bad for missing that. Sorry for the unintentional clickbait. lol I might reattempt this, after all, this is the first (and only) time I tried to beat this game mode with the knowledge I had.

I needed more than 100 attempts to beat the game on "Mein Leben", but I also didn't skip fights. I am a perfectionist... 😅 Skipping fights is easier, but it is much cooler to sweep every area. But of course, respect to everyone who did it, no matter how. I needed from last august to january the 13th this year.

@@pH_Dav No worries. Going to attempt this now too. What was the best way for you to practice this? I was going to make a checkpoint after every single mission,however it is capped to like 9 I believe so you cannot make infinite saves. Was curious if a flawless run without glitches & without taking damage is doable as well.

​@@swediswolfensteinplayer It is definitely doable...with enough practice. It took me about a month's of tryharding and fails and likely around 100 attempts to beat it for me. When I first started practicing it wasn't the most efficient though. I just kept trying Mein Leben and kept on painfully dying upon each new enemy and area and having to waste time to get back to where I left off only to die again and repeat. It wasn't until I grinded this process to Roswell did I decide to start using saves in I am Death Incarnate difficulty did I nail the rest of the game in like 4 more attempts. My personal recommendation is to make and practice on saves pre-head transplant (ie: wheelchair, ausmerzer1, section f, manhattan beginning, manhattan post-train crash, roswell trainstation, area 52, bj returning home, and courthouse battle to name good first-half saves). After that, make and practice on saves post-head transplant (ie: nyc new orleans dossier, new orleans start, new orleans panzerhund siege, venus start, venus surface landing, ausmerzer2, ausmerzer boss battle, and irene engel's assassination if you are really anxious you might f up on that part). From my own experience, I was already very good pre-Roswell because of my extensive practice on Mein Leben so I just made saves from that point forward. Starting from fresh (or near fresh), I recommend this template, but edit it how you will to fit your needs. Practice the parts you're the weakest at and know the corners where you might mess up and it will save you alot of time down the road, especially if you keep dying hours into an official mein leben attempt. Sidenotes: I know for sure I missed two upgrade kits - 1:29:02 (go right instead of left and it should be in the corner of the map), and 1:55:50 (the basement of Blasko's home). Out of the 3 upgrades, Battle Walker is the best to get first (provided you also do the enigma-code Ubercommander missions to get the others, something I sure as hell didn't do). It will help you tank the most damage (provided you do the obstacle course w' Mr. Stubbins) while also leaving you the opportunity to stealth (ram shackles will only allow you to loudly enter some areas and constrictor harness offers no defensive protection). When killing Engel, the additional health boost can also help you to tank just a few extra bullets (or maybe just one more bullet) since there are health packs leading up to her. Best way to survive the final charge is to strafe in a curve towards her instead of running straight at her (in my case I was able to dodge all bullets). That's all I have to say, goodluck on your quest, and if you _really_ want to, you can go the extra step and try and kill all the ubercommanders (a feat that, at this point, is something I'm not looking forward to doing).
