The music was actually the best part of the game. It added a lot to the atmosphere to hear the German music all the time. It really drilled in the fact that we were living in a German-dominated world. That made 46:17 Paris Est Un Coeur Brise sung in the language of the defeated but still defiant French genuinely moving.

Would be interesting to see how their concert events happened. Are there was music videos? In future games there would be huge field for AI assistance to create such things. Viktor & Die Vokalisten - Berlin Boys & Stuttgart Girls - song name is very likely from Pet Shop Boys song "Westend Girls". I'm also pretty sure that Ingrid Ange is Mylène Farmer. In game it is purely fictional. In real life such cassette tape design will not to anything good. Although I definitely seen similar design in technical journal at eighties - unfortunately can't exactly remember why they did that. Probably for faster rewinding. But even if this design got physical appearance, it didn't lived.

This music was so good that it made me feel bad about killing the Nazis in the game. I don't like hurting people who listen to beautiful music... the ability to appreciate music is one of the things that makes us human and being reminded that the bad guys were human in that way made me feel kind of sad about killing them even in a video game. What I mean is that the music is so good that it reminded me of the humanity of the enemies.

Honestly the music totally made this game. Game itself left somewhat unfinished feeling, save system for single play totally sucks (bring back oldschool save slots!!!), other sister AI for single play badly need more advanced command system in Mass Effect style. But music depict popular German music genres in eighties with added Nazi governing overtone disturbingly precise. Even kicked in hard nostalgic feelings from childhood to degree that I left game open with "Ich bin überall" in speakers and went to make dinner :)

Hammer soundtrack, and for the record, the game itself isn't bad. Not great by any means, but far from bad. It tried to mix up the Wolfenstein formula and didn't quite stick the landing. Some of the new gameplay choices are strange like the leveling system, the different enemy armor types which make the core shoot'em-up aspect rather tedious, as well as that constant banter between Jess and Soph which I wish could be disabled somehow. I also have a problem story-wise why they'd set it 19 years after New Colossus, especially with that game's ending and how we're told a whole bunch of big stuff happened. Liberation of most of the world, or B.J killing Hitler?! Wow, I really want to see how that all went down! Youngblood is a spinoff though, so we have yet to see the actual Wolfenstein 3. None of my critiques go far enough to ruin the game for me; I'm still enjoying it overall and find it better than all these people are making it out to be (acting as if it's another Fallout 76 level of bad... come on guys...), but New Order and Old Blood remain my favorites in the series by a long shot.

I have not played though the game fully. Since when I started it I just felt I had to play the previous games. Which is not a bad thing is the world building is what draws me in to it and it made me want to go back and feel for what had happened before. I like it so far. And I am not sure what people are so upset about. Of course since I am trying to avoid spoiling my self to much I do not actually read to much of the critique. But I see some of what my feed send me. So I am aware that there are a lot of people that do not like this spin-off iteration. Personally I think that people might just be a bit to trigger happy with critique these days. It is popular to just call something the worst thing even. Not even Fallout 76 (which I have a lot of issues with) is really close to being the worst game ever. It is disappointing sure. Some of there design decisions are really baffling. But if you think is even close to being the worst game ever, then you have not played a lot of games. Of course I might be a bit jaded my self. I can often see the good in a really bad game and even enjoy that little good. I often look for what sticks out in game and if that aspect is interesting then if a game is a complete fun experience. Likely due to me having played so many games. So a lot of those AAA title that comes out are often not super interesting to me since it just the same thing done with more polish. But something quirky but flawed might peak my interested more.

I have actually played the game a bit myself and it certainly isn't the absolute worst. It's severely lacking (aka disappointing like you mentioned), but again, not the worst of all time. The context I used was more pertaining to the fact that because just about everyone tore that game to microscopic shreds critically, they'd already made up their minds about Youngblood and were never even going to give it a chance. Nowadays it's not hard at all to see how entertainment journalism is a lot about jumping on the "what's-popular-to-hate" or "let's-make-a-huge-controversy-when-there's-literally-no-need-for-one" bandwagons, but I digress. On purpose I did my best to avoid all the speculative gripes people were spewing BEFORE Youngblood even came out (which is an unfortunate general media trend), so once it did I was at least able to judge the game on its own. And yeah, like my first comment summarizes; despite my issues with it, it's an ok game. 6.5 maybe even 7 out of 10 if I had to give an honest rating. Those aforementioned gameplay mix-ups of the Wolfenstein formula and centering on B.J's daughters for the story didn't land with a lot of people, myself included to an extent. I can understand that, but again, trying to claim it's horrible or the worst game this year... I think a lot of it is either hyperbole or just the fact that they made up their minds from the very get-go.

I really dislike this. I want to have deep thoughtful analyse of what game a game good and bad. The bashing of game or other media just make it boring. I think that well have dried up long ago by critiques poking fun of actual really bad media. And now is just popular to hate on thing without actually trying to understand the thing your hating on. So I think we are pretty much on the same wavelength here.

@NeoXPro Nobody is bothered by that, they're the most lifeless characters ever, they don't sound like they actually exist, they sound robotic, and their conversations are not realistic. It doesn't matter they're female, it matters that they are cringe inducing and they have contrived dialogue between each other.
