I first heard this song in Dublin. Every person Irish person stood to attention with their hands over their hearts and tears running down their faces. I have never been so moved by a song. I am South African of Irish decent and am proud of the Irish and Ireland.
@vcrossCelticfc Жыл бұрын
I first heard it at the Mayfair in Glasgow, I was too young for the Barrowlands. Although I did manage one in Dublin and another one on the south side of Glasgow which was huge. I remember we could sing WT songs at the games but not any more. Strangely (or perhaps not). I decided to watch the Glasgow City fans during a recent old firm match and was honestly shocked they were singing the BBs. Complete double standards. I remember the late 80s, early 90s before they ckamped down on the Cs, sadly the U's don't seem to be fairing much better even though they have cut out the ss and BS et al.

I remember hearing this song. Live sung by the Wolfe tones. There wasn't a dry eye.... Love that arrangement with the Orchestra... 🇮🇪💚🇮🇪💚

Greatest version ever. Happy birthday Bobby Sands and thank you for your sacrifice from Orange County, NY. There are no words to give justice to what you and the ten have done for us.

I was at this concert, at Citywest. Noel Nagle announced my engagement and dedicated The Foggy Dew to my fiance and I. As you might imagine, it was the proudest moment of my life. I've seen The Wolfe Tones 44 times.
