Toto is shared owner of the team so such decisions are very important for their sponsors. Mercedes as a team to show their sponsors that Russell is the future going forward. This qualifying battle which Mercedes need to show the world that Russell is better but that's not the case as regardless of the help given to him,he seems to go backwards and only move forward when there is issues up front. They wanted Russell to be on equal points with Lewis so that the last few race Russell will get more help.

Lewis is no longer an asset to Mercedes, their priorities are set for GR. This show how bad/unprofessional Toto is as an owner. As long as Lewis is still with Mercedes, he is still a team member, they should work as a team, not to place all benefits only on George Russell. Well, his selfish act will be a disadvantage to their construction standing...

Did you see his over dramatic reaction at Lewis cutting a curb to try and get past Magnusson in today's Singapore GP - watching Wolff is like watching the theatricals of a 3 year old diva throwing the toys out the pram, it was an absurd over-reaction that just shows how spoilt Toto has been and why it was that Ross Brawn warned Lewis of Toto when Toto took over as team principle AFTER Brawn had some all of the hard work and setup Mercedes so strongly... ...But most folk will never notice that, nor will they notice details like Toto's (utter non) reaction at Spa to having Mercedes first 1-2 finish for the team since 2021. It shows that Toto knew there was some risk still at play so wasn't celebrating until he was certain they'd gotten away with it (George's car being over a kilo underweight). You're right - Toto Wolff is a snake.

I really hope Ferrari and Fred Vasseur can help undo all of the woes Lewis has endured at Merc for the last 3 years (this year being the most obvious) so he can gain his all time greatest 8th title to top the records... ...it truly is an amazing achievement, and one which I hope will open motor racing up for all of humanity in the future; no matter what someone's background, it only matters their merit (and their character).
