That's a flat 4 VW engine. On nitromethaine.

He was actually using a pauter engine, it says it on his valve covers. There are other videos of this car where you see the engine.

no pump, just nitro, 7:68, 211 MPH! Not bad.

The time and the MPH doesn't add up. 175-180 mph is about right at that ET for an NA engine. Unless that thing is a real turd to the 1/8th and really pulling hard on the top end. That's more conducive to a Turbo Combination though.

Nitro isn't great on low rpm na combinations because it physically has to chew through the solid fuel 😉
