I don’t care what anyone says. I love Kyoya. I love it when he smiles and how he hid it from Erika. It’s precious whenever he smiles. And although Erika has her moments of being completely adorable and lovable, she also can be quite annoying sometimes too. Still love her though. Gosh, I love this anime a lot. The manga is really great too. I’ve recently started to read it since I’ve heard how Kyoya gets better as a character in the manga. And it’s true! :D Sheesh, we definitely should get another season of this anime. With a 2nd season, maybe the rest of the manga can be adapted. We get to see the entire manga animated. Now that would be totally awesome! 👍🏻 Cause it so gets better in the manga

To everyone saying he isn't toxic: Erika doesn't want to watch a movie at home. But of course, she has to oblige to him and do what he wants (if she doesn't, nothing will happen and they're relationship would be stuck). She does this because she's willing to make sacrifices to make the relationship work. She's willing to compromise, while he wouldn't even think about doing something that he doesn't want to do / out of his comfort zone for his "loved" one. So he is toxic. I get that a relationship is soemthing between two people but it's not fair for her to do everything he wants or they won't do anything at all. Like he doesn't even let her finish eating. Does that sound right to you?

I mean yes he is toxic no doubt about that, but on the whole date thing. Idk....I might have to disagree a little. Not on him specifically but on the topic in general. There are just some people who find it really hard to do things out of their comfort zone for their partner and enjoy it at the same time. I was the same for almost everything Kyouya disliked. Which is why 7/10 times I would shoot down an idea like going out because I know that if I forced myself to go out in public with my partner, I would just end up making them feel miserable and guilty because I would be mostly negative the entire time. It's not always sunshine and rainbows where you can just say, "When I'm with you I can ignore everyone/everything else". I do understand the value and importance of compromising, but its really hard for some to do that in a way that can satisy both parties. Its a reason for why some couples break up.

In fact, he became so protective over her in the manga and in the final chapter he stated that to make up for all that he did in the past, his made sure to make his love become "overbearing" to the point that she'll get sick of it😂❤️

While watching this i gotta admit ive become a therapist for kyoya 😂😂😂 . I know he has trauma but he just see Erika's love in that light especially in the earliest part of series . If shes tired a rejects him he sees it as leaving him like his mother when he doesnt even realize the wall he has make Erika think she dont have chance . I cried with erka everytime Kyoya acts badly , it just hurts me but i really hope Kyoya's perspective change because Erika does loves him , she accepts him . Maybe he has trauma but if he keeps it that way like his friends say he is nit the only guy in world . He gotta make an effort now that theyre in a relationship for real especially communicating.

Okay so I felt compelled to write a comment on this specific episode. I can strongly relate to Kyouya's unwillingness in their date first. I basically dislike all the same things he does when specificallly with a significant other. I would be okay with going too see cherry blossoms, but god forbid I go with a boyfriend 0_0. I don't like going out with a significant other because I get self-conscious. I don't like taking pictures with my partner, I don't like the whole "feeding" pda. And the boat ride would be too embarrassing for my taste. It's one of the reasons for why I had to end a relationship. But I do know that at times, you have to compromise with your partner. It's just really hard when everything they want to do is way out of your own comfort zone. So yeah, I related too much with Kyouya in this episode and empathized with him.

he isnt toxic..he is just not a fan of doing things that is considered romantic and show off events...he feels those kinda instagramy activities are pointless and meaningless. He also is an introvert and prefers being home than doing couple activities...until now he had no reason to change himself. until now he was onhis own with having no one to accomodate for. when erika comes into his life she challenges his perception.helearns what it means to find happiness doing something for making someone else happy. he learns to put someone else's feelings and wishes before his. But those changes occurs only when they fight and makeup a million times.he never once considers breaking upwith her. She doesnt really want to break up with him either. so they fight . they make up and they change. their bond and love grows stronger. Thats the real aspect of a real relationship. not everyone is born romantic.
