A little off topic, so sorry, but my most anticipated movies for 2024 were 'Longlegs', 'Trap' and 'Alien Romulus' and they were all overrated. Bummer.

I enjoyed all three but only saw Longlegs in the theater. My favorites from this year are: Oddity, Strange Darling, and Smile 2.

Longlegs - absolutely. All vibe and no substance is a charge applicable to quite lot of modern media. Plus the fuckers spoilt T-Rex for me 😂

I didn’t enjoy Longlegs , maybe the hype was the reason. Trailers often ruin the experience, especially for horror. Abigail is a perfect example of a good movie spoiled by its trailer. A great idea for a channel: trailer reviews asking, *should you even watch the trailer?*

Most Overrated Horror Movies of 2024 for me: 1. Longlegs (Good movie but definitely not the scariest film of the decade and Nicholas Cage didn’t do anything for me) 2. Late Night with the Devil (Nearly fell asleep watching this) 3. Abigail (An inferior version of Ready or Not with a sluggish first act and a underwhelming 3rd act) 4. Cuckoo (Forgettable) 5. Your Monster (So cringe and not even funny)

@@WolfmansGotNards I think Cuckoo is worth seeing. The bicycle scene actually made me scream! The first half I thought was great, the second kinda lost me but it's certainly unusual.

My disappointment movie was Maxxine the movie trailer was brilliant the actors in the film were on form. I think Mia Goth is such a fantastic actress in all her film roles. As for the movie the plot was a let down an the ending of was a massive let down it was like how Once upon a time in Hollywood ending was like both were all over the place in my views. I really liked Abigail it was such a good black comedy film & the late night with the devil that was creepy as well both films that needed to be watched in Halloween October time. Yet another interesting video as always Barry 😎👍

Abigail is among my favorite movies. I saw the trailer and it did nothing to ruin the film for me. In fact it made seek it out. We missed a reveal. Is the reason for watching a film just for a reveal? The acting, sets, music, pacing, everything about Abigail was top notch. And the biggest reveal of all was not in the trailers. I watch and appreciate a film for what it is. That is why some folks, such as myself, watch a film multiple times. How many times have we heard the term "re-watchable"?

That happened with me with Maxine because that trailer was so good I couldn't believe how good the trailer was and I saw the movie twice in theaters I thought I guess it's okay

I liked Abigail and Long Legs. The PR campaign screwed up on both imo.

Well said mate , maxxxine was a big disappointment for me after what had come before ,on the plus side me and my son jack watched Better Watch out yesterday that you recommended ....loved it ! Really enjoyed it ,don't know how i missed that one so thanks for that 👍

I don't follow any particular actor/actress myself, it's the story that interests me the most, if an actor/actress is one that I like then it's a bonus no props either way for Nick, Melissa or Mia they are good actors who can improve a film. Instead of worst films of the year a better way to go about it might be least favorite of the year after all everyone's opinion differs, I mean I loved Madam Web Just Kidding never even saw it 🤣

I didn't see any of the hype about Longlegs so I wasn't affected by it. I don't about agree about the "scariest movie" business. Creepy yes, scariest ever no. On my first viewing I enjoyed it but did not think it any kind of a masterpiece, but on subsequent viewings I liked it more and more and I even think it may really be a masterpiece, anyhow is my favorite movie of the year so far.

Three Overrated Horror Movies. The First Omen overrated and crap and shits on the lore of the original movies. Longlegs boring and trash and Nicholas Cage deserves a Razzie for whatever that performance was supposed to be. Abigail overrated tosh with a lead actress who cant act and a poor mans version of Ready or Not.
