I bought the album in 2006. When I first came across it in the U.K. I loved it even though they had borrowed or been heavily influenced by bands I grew up listening to in the late sixties early seventies. Vocal wise comparable with Paul Rodgers of Free. I was shocked, when I heard they had split up, after releasing such a cracking album.
@BilzoToGo7 ай бұрын
I'd say the vocals are a bit more like Plant than Rodgers, But i first discovered them around 2007-2008 when i bought NFS Prostreet and remember hoping they would be the next Led Zeppelin. Now im hoping that Greta Van Fleet can make it there 😂

The boys are aging fucking gracefully. I remember discovering this song and my dad freaking the fuck out because he thought I was talking shit about my mom. You guys are one of the reasons I stay true to rock n roll and make my own music today. If you guys are campaigning for a new album I am 100000000% here for it. Hope to catch you live one day

The boys is the one boy (Andrew) as the band's lineup has never remained the same, album to album. Damn shame really. First lineup (that this lineup is emulating with a 3 piece and Rickenbacker) was the best I think. Some magic on the first lp for sure.
@ericvague192 жыл бұрын
Hey friend. Out of curiosity why did your dad think that? was there a particular lyric?
@blacob2 жыл бұрын
@@ericvague19 So here we go, bare with me here. Do you remember MSN messenger? You used to be able to update your status or display name and also link the music you were playing at a given time so it would show up below your name. My dad was new to the internet and worked 6000KM away so we would use MSN to communicate daily. (this would be the year Woman was released). Anyway I was a prick child and fought with my parents like the devil so my father thought I was throwing shade at my mom by putting that song in my bio LOL. It's just a fond memory because I shit my pants in fear. I fear my father to this day like no other man or beast that roams the earth! hahaha
@blacob2 жыл бұрын
@@_here_hear Kinda have to disagree with you there. There are so many factors to consider when a band changes their sound or the way they write music. Some bands are hungry and once they reach heights they thought were unachievable they never get that hunger again. Some bands get off the drugs for example GNR, some bands outgrow the genre that got them their initial buzz. Then there are bands who have so much success and end up fucking hating it so they make less radio friendly music while still maintaining their sound to an extent to keep their true fan base and not band wagoners. I don't think these guys lost it at all. They're amazingly talented.
