Sad as it is to realize, six figures really ain’t shit anymore. I feel it, but I’m glad Jordan just blurted it out. The example of doctor salaries (vascular surgeon was perfect, Dan) ain’t shit these days is precisely why I passed on medicine as a middle aged man. Shoot for the stars. Occasionally you’ll hit the moon. Problem these days: nobody wants to get into the rocket ship. These guys are all about switching out your old clothes for a spacesuit. Change. No fucks given. Love it.
@JNatella4 жыл бұрын
Not at all accurate, a welder or oil field worker can live a very very wealthy lifestyle depending on where they live. A surgeon making350k a year and not living like a jackass and investing 100-150k of it a year becomes an extremely wealthy individual if they invest it even half sensible (Mutual funds/ dividend stocks/ Real Estate) they'll retire with millions. Making money consistently over many years, you don't need much if you invest it correctly to retire comfortably.
@nathanialbersani50874 жыл бұрын
In time a million won't be shit. As long as the value of the dollar continues to decline more will continue become less. Whatever you think is alot needs to be multiplied then set as a goal. If that's your thing.

Jordan, you've been such an inspiration for me. Particularly this topic of finding your "why". I had so many challenges in my life, so many doubters from school to family to the professional network. They would say things like, you won't make to university just because I couldn't speak a word of English at age 13 when I migrated to Australia. You don't have the skills to succeed in sales. You don't have programming skills to be successful in an analytical role. Guess what? I proved them all wrong! I didn't just go to university, I earned a master degree. I didn't just learn programming language, I was a SME in Risk Management. The last 4 years, I've been a top performer in the recruitment industry access multiple countries, in finance and IT by sharing advice and knowledge so people can achieve their dreams job. Covid-19 impacted our industry, I left recruitment and took time off to figure out what to do next. I took a casual sale job, door to door selling books to school. It was on a bare minimum wages except I didn't settle being average and made big sales which lead to much higher commission. I didn't have strong support from my biological father growing up so I would never let my 2 young kids struggle, I'll do whatever it takes to provide for them. That is my "Why"! I have been learning the straightline and follow closely to all your podcasts. Amazing successful people shared their secrets to success and I take them all in! I'm very close to my next chapter, moving into software sales, I promise you I'll use the straightline to its highest potential and become the best in this field. One day, I'll be successful, I'll find you to personally thank you. Please take good care Jordan and continue to share your passion for teaching and knowledge. You have changed many lives including mine. For those who needs help with self improvement to succeed in job Interviews, please connect with me on LinkedIn I'll help you to standout from the crowd and secure your career goals for FREE! Long.
