Besides the quality points you cats made, I'd add: delays in shipping (my speculation from experience in MFG) are often a result of several additive issues, particularly if outsourcing certain tasks whether literal packaging, artwork, printing, to parts & assembly, etc. The more item steps are outsourced to contractors, the greater tge delay. AS IMPORTANT, accurate forecasting #s by Sideshow & Hot Toys is critical in manufacturing! If either/both are off their game, cash flow becomes a serious limit on production & deliveries. My two cents. PS 18mins of small talk is a LONG period ;). Good vid.

My biggest issue, and DLo talked about it, is that if we were gonna get a DC figure. I would've preferred a Pfeiffer or Kravitz Catwoman, or anything we just don't have. Instead of a Batman that I don't feel needed it. I think im done going backwards.

If it were not for the 2.0 releases I would not be acquiring Hot Toys figures I missed out on…so I am all for it. :)> I understand how this is bad for many collectors who already have the original figures but once the prices went up I no longer would order 3 Hot Toys figures at once…keep one…then sell the other 2 for more than twice the original price once they sold out.

I am praying for a Hot Toys Wolverine “Days of Future Past” 2.0 With the Wolverine character from the upcoming “Deadpool 3” movie assuming Hugh Jackman plays that role…I have a feeling we have another Hot Toys Wolverine coming after “Deadpool 3” is released…so I will patiently wait.😌 I am very close to just grabbing one off of eBay. I was literally getting ready to grab the Hot Toys “Armored” Batman (non battle damaged as I am a purist)off of eBay. I decided to wait another day until I got paid when I got an email early that morning from Sideshow announcing the “Armored” Batman 2.0 I immediately pre-ordered the “Deluxe” version so now I will have both versions. …well at least I can swap out between between clean and battled damaged depending on my mood. 😎

Case-by-case basis. With its across-the-board improvements, the 2.0 armoured Batman fully justifies its existence, the same goes for the Bane 2.0, and Joker 3.0. The wealth of improvements are a blessing for those who want the very best and most lifelike versions of their favourite characters. It's also great for those who missed out the first time around, and those new to the hobby. That said, I fully agree with you when you say there are older figures (Reeve Superman, Terminator, Predator... ) that are more in need of an update. With the state that Hollyweird is currently in, I'd expect HT to give us more of those classic, Christopher Reeve's Superman, type of figures. On the other hand, you have something like the latest Hot Toys Batman Begins figure, a piece that is about as half-assed as you can get. Those who're concerned about 2.0's devaluing their collection or making them no longer part of a relatively small group who own a specific figure, should console themselves with the fact they've had the pleasure of owning that figure for a number of years. They should also be realistic and aware that as standards and technology evolves so does the likelihood of revisits. If they wish to be part of a truly exclusive group, then customs, or customizing their figures, could be a path for them.

Some great points here. I'm often confused on why most consumers don't consider the value of ownership. Being able to enjoy and appreciate something in your collection vs waiting for years, has to be considered, and is often neglected. With all the 2.0 releases, the one I was looking forward to most, The Catwoman 2.0 is barely an upgrade, and I found that the most disappointing. All that time and anticipation only to essentially get a replacement for a deteriorating figure.

@@nonametofame Very true. I'm also willing to pay a little bit more for a figure if I can get it months before SS. I was petty disappointed with that Catwoman. I really wanted her, but now she isn't even on my radar...

Well for me with the 2.0 batman. Ht runs on preorder sales, I want them to make the zs batmobile that they teased years ago. If sales for these figures are good than the chances are pretty good for them to make it. I have both the original armored and I'll probably get this too

All that cereal talk as revived the craving 😂 need to go buy me some cheerios now lol. I’m all for 2.0’s, I feel like they need to revisit some older lines though. Alien, Aliens, Terminator (I love my BD T2 but that likeness could be improved I think), Predator are all screaming for re do’s for me. Especially with the Alien figures with the improvements in seamless bodies or even like Carnage.
