This is very immersing indeed. I wish they provided more war theaters and tanks to experiment with. I hope in the future more material for this kind of game/simulation. We have so much for air combat, this kind of games are kind of missing.

One notable difference (I observed watching Il-2 gameplay) from my experience of WT is that the engagement distance are much farther away, so there is no such thing as aiming for a specific spot like turret cheek. Everything is luck - you aim center mass and hope for a pen.

Same here! Can I ask a bunch of questions? Like: are you playing using your mouse and keyboard? And is there really no sound when shells are coming in? Or is that whistle sound you hear in movies total bs? It looks cool, but it’s a bit flat when it comes to immersion at times?

@@juice2090 I play using keyboard and mouse but you can play with a HOTAS if you desire. The whistle thing is bs and there is no whistle when shells are flying towards you though if you're looking in that general direction when they get fired you'll see the tracer

I love these multiplayer matches, the camera work is fantastic, I love all the different angles you get from the replay. Do you record the audio and first person view, then go view the replay later or something for those third person shots? You've finally convinced me to pick up the tank crew module, and I've really been enjoying it. Once I get things figured out a little better, I'd love to come get donked on by you guys on the virtual Finnish pilot's server! The UBOAT, Silent Hunter, Cold Waters (would love to see more of that by the way, some of my favorite videos you make) and IL-2 devs really should thank you, honestly. I have no doubt in my mind your videos have generated thousands of dollars in sales for em, I know I've ended up buying most of the games you play. Maybe I'll send em each an email to share your great content with them, I think they'd love it!

During ww2 Sherman’s sometimes had hard times killing panzer 4s since the panzer 4 had 80mm of armor Sherman crews were given APCR rounds to penetrate the front of a panzer 4

I remember last night I was in some urban combat with my lil Panzer 3 L since im broke lmao, and had a sherman just turn right infront of me out of behind a house and scared the absolute crap outta me :D Luckily I managed to frontally pierce him somehow, which I did not expect to be able to do with the tiny little 50mm Absolute blast on FinnishPilots with the tanks though

After playing on the Finnish server for a week this is what I've gathered. It's a great game, but the Germans most definitely control the air and ground for the most part. Half the time the Russians are lacking in support and players. This is only a week tho so take it with a grain of salt

Yep. Most of the shells and casings sit against the upper left hull wall (minus a few casings that sit under the breech). Considering it's the largest flat area, it's also a good point of aim and fairly easy to hit. Not to mention there are fuel tanks right below them.

yes, Panthers, Tigers, and Elephants are rare in multiplayer because first it's map/mission dependent and second there is only a limited number available. Usually people grab them quick. It's a similar situation with the SU-122 and the ISU-152.
