This episode really demonstrates the reason for the death of battleships as an effective deterrence. The loss of aircraft in attacking a battleship is a pittance in comparison to the capital expenditure to construct a battleship.

Having said that the American fleet make-up leaves a bit to be desired. Make it up to 10 ships with some Atlantas and maybe 6 Fletchers in a decent formation with destroyers outboard of the battleships as ablative armour. Oh, and maybe maneuver so you're not presenting a perfect broadside. Sure, you'd prolly still get whacked pretty hard but you'd be unlikely to actually loose a battleship. Having said that, the AI would just sail on into oblivion anyway, rather than retire. SIGH.

That's the first plane we have seen crash into a ship and that flack is also getting heavier. They are making this into a good game thanks to your help with all the mods that have been made it could have been a totally different game with far fewer points being gained.

Oh boy !! This game is above and beyond. The creators have brought us a game which can challenge and inspire us for a long time. This game will take me away from AGE of Empires ll ( a long long time favorite) and bring me squarely into the middle of the twentieth-century, a time of conflict in multiple theaters requiring new strategies and tactics. Kudos and applause also to my son, Wolfpack 345 and the folks at the STEAM gaming network for bringing this superlative game to my computer.

I just finished watching your whole War on the Sea series and its amazing content with a great content creator behind it. Your editing is very impressive with the introduction, the fade aways and the cinematic shots, just overall really impressive stuff man. When it comes to gameplay i also really like how much in control you are. All the time there is aircraft in the sky, all the taskforces are patroling on their courses and, as of now, not even one battleship and carrier of yours has been sunk, very awesome gameplay to say the least. In conclusion ill just say keep it up Wolfpack and i cant wait for your next upload of War on thr Sea.

@@raymondshivers2092 Frankly i dont believe so. My source for that is the playthrough of Stealth17 Gaming and in that one he also did not loose a single battleship or carrier. I think it seams weird to us because of the fact that War on the Sea is actually just really strong when it comes to air attacks and thats why Shokaku and Zuikaku are the most important assets to Wolfpack, from my view. Two other secondary factors are that Wolfpack rarely engages with surface fleets with mainly submarines and aircraft doing the damage and also that the AI is really just weak in that game in many occassions.

@Raymond Shivers If you are suggesting I am save scumming or editing out my losses I can assure you that is not the case. The AI in this game is hopelessly bad, stratigically and tactically. Like Lukas said I also tend to take engagemts that are overwhelmingly in my favor. I don't think many content creators, that took the time to learn the mechanics of the game before making content, have lost a major engagement. If you look through the forums as well you will see bad AI is the number one complaint when it comes to this game.

@@Wolfpack345 100% and thank you for backing me backing you 😅 I canr wait for more War on the Sea uploads of yours and also i think now is the time for you to really put the engagements secondary and focusing on an effective supply line to really get the objectives done because what i sadly see a lot of content creators do is that they just keep on focusing on patrols and looking for engagements while neglecting their convoys and then loosing passion in the game and complaining that it is taking to long and in some cases just giving up on it as a whole and i wish for that not to happen to you as you as a content creator and combined with the content you put out on War on the Sea is a great mix and i wish for you to not stop playing it without finishing it.

I heavily recommend to spam torpedo the higher class BB's this can add more flooding to the compartments Also its important to wait a bit after doing a attack to make sure the ship sinks (if you leave before it does, the ship will re-appear with same damage)

To be honest, I'm finding the enemy AI to be perfectly optimised to feed you large numbers of impotent & ineffective targets to destroy. Any time you have a naval battle that ends with surface losses of one destroyer versus well over 100 ships including numerous capital ships, I'm not sure how much of a challenge it all is...

Please do the kamikaze attack using land based Zero...It’s the most efficient force in the game...works for anything afloat by struck in the entire flight into a ship (2 for destroyer, 4-5 for CL and CA dunno for BB)...

When that ship sank and capsized, those gun turrets should have fallen out.. They're only fit in there by gravity and aren't actually connected to the ship in any way.
