Unfortunately the DCS replay system acts up sometimes and doesn't show what actually happened in the mission. I ran into this issue with this track so that is why the last half of the video doesn't have as many cool cinematic shots.

I always enjoy seeing you fly so many different planes, from WW1 to WW2, and now jets over Korea. Maybe a bit of shoulder-shooting at that MiG you brought down, might want to have a word with your wingmen about that. Have you heard about the Spring Offensive MP campaign? Since they don't have a 1917 plane-set for FC, they're doing Operation Michael in 1918 instead. Same as Black September, but the Central are on the offense, while Entente defends.

With hydraulic fluid loss your comrade needed either to land at an emergency strip nearby or a very long straight approach to your base as his controls slowly became more and more rock solid. DCS pilot here. Consider the following analogy; if you could play Guitar Hero perfectly 100% on the hardest song and maximum difficulty setting, would that make you a guitarist? The answer should be no, but the player is still incredibly talented and has a solid appreciation of what a guitarist does.
@Val_Cla3 жыл бұрын
@@ghostdog688 the guitar hero controller and a real guitar have less in common than a HOTAS and a real cockpit hehe, but i see where you are trying to go, and i think it's a pretty cool analogy :)
@ghostdog6883 жыл бұрын
@@Val_Cla it’s not a perfect analogy I agree, but it’s not a million miles off. I’m sure it gets the point across. Do I think that flying planes in DCS would make me a fighter pilot? Absolutely not. But I enjoy it throughly and I try. I’d like to think I could at least have a conversation with a pilot and muddle through. As an example, I got for my 30th birthday a one-hour flight experience. Other than takeoff and landing I controlled the aircraft for most of it myself (apart from a short break for photos), the IP noticed my familiarity with the instruments and being able to read the gauges. But I didn’t spend enough time with my head outside. He pointed out that my instrument scan was good, but I need to feel the plane more. Of course, flying by the seat of your pants is difficult if not impossible in sims, but he admitted my “experience” in sims certainly gave me a head start, but it leaves holes for sure.
