Some much needed maintenance. The DEF filter is something I learned needs to be done at least once a year or about 150k miles.

I spent over $18,000 in def repairs and lost 7 months while truck was in Fitzgerald Peterbilt shop. This was after i replaced def filter, nox sensors, doser valve, and cleaned dpf myself in an attempt to reduce what my shop bill would be... Come to find out, it was all in the electronics and control module. Biggest mistake I've ever made as Owner Operator would be, being dumb enough to buy a truck with def after so many truckers warned me about them. I could have had a reliable longnose 379 Pete with a Cat 3406e for half the price as my damn 579 def paccar wannabepete. But nope... i just wanted the newer truck for modern amenities (modern problems) 😅
