My husband plays this song in his oldies band………..everyone loves it……definitely a dancing song……!

I was doing the Wooly Bully back in 1965 and this bears absolutely no resemblance to the dance we did back then.

Thank god! Someone else who REALLY lived in that era. I watched this and went ...Wtf.? I was 15, we NEVER danced like this in the 60s & not to Wooly Bully. Sam the Sham used to play at Marquette Park Pavilion in Miller Beach Indiana...wonderful dance memories but NOT this so called wooly bully dance.
@juanramirez62513 жыл бұрын
The algorithm sent me some Wooly Bully line dance videos and they were horrible. Maybe Ms. Chardonnet should have taught them the Wooly Bully line dance moves. Then maybe things might look better...

You are spot on The Woolly Bully was fast & furious with loads of arm movements, this looks like a very tame line dance

I have read a lot of your comments okay. Listen up. If you danced all night till 2 a.m. and your partner is not hot and sweaty she is a dancer. She Glides around and across the floor. If she's hot and sweaty at 2 a.m. she's been working out on the dance floor. think about it.? I'm 75 years old and dance ever Saturday night with my granddaughter.

I saw Sam The Sham & the Farows live in a bar on the beach in Biloxi MS in 1967 while in the Air Force. Bar stayed open 23 1/2 hours a day. Only closed for 1/2 hour to clean. I think they had 4 or 5 bands that rotated playing all day. STS was one of the bands.

I love this song. J.Edgar Hoover (FBI director ) listened to this CAREFULLY to try and find something obscene in the lyrics. He couldn't because he couldn't understand the lyrics. What a creep!

@terryashton92133 жыл бұрын
Very nice Michelle. I was thinking as I was watching your moves. This would be so nice to incorporate your moves into a partner dance. Your sideways cross steps, forward cross steps, kick steps and so on. It is possible for partners to stop in place and do the moves that you do in place before picking up the beat and moving forward again. Wolly Bully is done to the beat of what we used to call a Triple Two. Same as an East Coast Swing only in lieu of the rock step backwards, we would do a walk, walk forward. All of your foot work could be done with a partner and it would look so cool to see it choreographed together. I'd do it with you.
