Oil, conditioning cream, and polish are different. Some conditioners may contain oil, plus other conditioning agents. Shoe polish is usually a wax that coats the leather. To actually clean, you want something like saddle soap.

Horween recommends neatsfoot oil for Chromexcel. I use mink oil. 1000 Mile Boots really soak in the oil. Try Lincoln shoe polish over the mink oil.

@@velks80 I just buy whatever is on sale. No real preference.
