Coyote is such a playful spirit - almost childlike in a way. Whereas Steve is obviously very solitary and used to only having animals for company. So I feel like Steve was mildly annoyed by the eagerness that coyote displayed but it wasn't anything with malicious intent. On another note, coyote's passion and enthusiasm is so inspiring and uplifting :) this right here is a man you'd take home to meet mom and dad, ladies and gents

these type of people can mesh well, it just takes time for a bond to form, they can sometimes even balance each others weaknesses. Like in this episode Steve kept anyone from being hurt with his careful approach, and Coyote brought him out of his shell a bit and some practice with interacting with other humans.

He simply is just used to the somewhat predictable nature and interactions of animals, humans dont follow the same needs or wants and can be hard to be prepared for without time in advance, double so for someone who is a bit more isolated. You do realize with your comment you too are a "Steve is weird" commenter merely by mentioning that. As a side note weird means abnormal, which is an apt way of describing Steve's actions. It doesn't mean he is bad or anything... just that he doesn't act in the way people expect of others. Living with nature and animals the way he does is not what most people do, thus abnormal. That he studies nature the way he does and protects wildlife the way he does means he should be revered, but that doesn't mean you can't use the proper words in English to describe him.

I love Steve. What a guy, just genuinely concerned about Coyote the entire time and worried about what would happen for an inexperienced person to intersect with an animal such as that. So, it is true that she was mauled to death by a tiger. But her and Steve had been divorced for years already at that point. And she was on her own toger sanctuary in Minnesota when it happened. They have a son together as well, who, from what I can tell. Is alive and well.

I came back to watch this, I feel this is, the best episode, the most creative, that they have done. I think people take how Steve was, and what goes on too literally. Although there was some level of surprise and improvisation, Steve knew how to be entertaining for the camera.

Steve is fascinating and he is very grounded to nature. Humans think there is us and there is nature out there somewhere but we are part of this giant biosphere and ecosphere. Steve understands this but sadly humans have disconnected ourselves from where we truly belong. This was a terrific episode and the Wolverine is spectacular and beautiful.

I thought that the whole time. There's absolutely no way that anything bad would have happened with that extremely well behaved animal. I think that Steve figured out how crazy this dude was immediately, and then he just messed with him for a few hours (sleeping to the call of a raven, uphill sprints barefoot, rotting moose skin, carrying the meat for a mile... sounds too ridiculous for even someone like Coyote to believe)

Wolverines can kill animals as big as a moose. Particularly in the winter when they're impeded by snow, where the wolverine will rush in, since its wide paws stop it from sinking into the snow, chomp down on the moose's windpipe and suffocate it to death.

I agree. Either Steve is a really good actor (on top of everything else he does) or he was really irritated by him. Just his body language and tone of voice as well as certain things he would say (with his tone) told me he was irritated.

This is one of my favourite videos from Brave WIlderness, and this is my second time watching. I imagine being in the presence of a Wolverine to be a humbling experience, and seeing Steve play with one at the end was a beautiful sight. I love it when I see humans and animals connect and enjoy each other's company so much. It's all about building a relationship of respect, trust, and understanding, and it's truly heartwarming.
