My favorite thing about the Hulk Vs films is that, unlike other Superheroes vs films, there's nothing happening later on that causes the combatants to work together or stop fighting each other. Mostly in Hulk's case in Hulk vs Wolverine but Logan got over it at the end, which is also a nice change

Unfortunately the rights for the characters are divided between fox, Disney and universal studios and even if Disney were to purchase them all as they did fox there’s a lot of hidden clauses in the contract that makes it a bureaucratic nightmare for the studios.

So it’s not as easy as buying and owning it.

In fact, they could've introduced Grey Hulk/Joe Fixit this way: After Hulk's defeat against Thanos, Banner's mind opened up a new conscience: Grey Hulk. And the reason why Banner couldn't transform into the Hulk was because both Grey Hulk and Green Hulk was fighting for control. And then, after Thanos' snap, Banner finally became the Hulk but it wasn't green Hulk but Grey Hulk and then Grey Hulk jumped away. After 5 years, Grey Hulk became a mobster named Joe Fixit who was slowly taking the streets and he never transformed back into Banner or Green Hulk because Joe Fixit kept them both in his mind. But in Endgame, Joe would let Banner out to help with the time travel stuff and in the final battle, Joe would fight Thanos using Hulk sized tommy guns but realized that he can beat Thanos alone, so Joe, Banner and Hulk would combine their strengths and unleash a new power and form: World Breaker Hulk.
