Yes, but the Mongols were from the 13th century, when Russia wasn't the advanced or organized nation it was against 19th century France and WWII Germany (in which the Russians did the vast majority of the fighting for the allies), whereas the Mongols at the time were damn near unparalleled. Colossus is immune to extreme cold, so he was in no danger from Storm. Omega Red's pheromone death spores shouldn't affect Colossus either, because he doesn't breathe, eat, drink, etc., but I guess the writers decided if they went that route, Colossus would stomp Red every fight, so made him susceptible to Red's powers.

Retro Brothers Omega red, if I remember correctly, had around a 50 level body armor back in those days because of the Carbonium around him and a Health of around 130 -ish. So, doing the math, every Colossus hit would take off 25 health (75 strength - 50 armor), which comes to about 6 clean hits before Omega Red was toast (not counting any Stun). I personally think they overpowered Omega in this cartoon but it seems like they got the impact of Colossus' strength on his armor right.

Everyone would make this big deal about how strong Colossus was, but then he rarely, if ever, showed any feats to back it up. It's getting to the point where weaker characters are constantly doing more than him. So on paper, he's CL 100 (or 75, or whatever), but in practice? Weak punches all around

It's because Rogue needs bare skin contact to absorb a person's life force. So in that scene, since she was not touching Omega Red's bare skin, she could not absorb his powers. Whereas for Omega Red, he absorbs people's energies when his tentacles are wrapped round a person, without the need for direct skin contact. Also, the difference is that Rogue can absorb a mutant's powers and use it herself, whereas Omega Red cannot. He just takes the energy.
