I'm 56 years old and really couldn't care less about Black or Death Metal. Having said that, this track is very impressive and "Thrice Woven" is the best Black Metal album I've given a listen to. The Black (Viking) Metal days of Bathory are pretty impressive too.

Nice. Me being 24, eversince ten years ago it has also took me some time to find the real beauty in Blackmetal. But it is definitely there.. For me, in contrast to most other kinds of music I like, this often needs a couple of extra spins but finally it's been all worth the eventual waiting. Some of these bands/musicians/projects create an unprecedented atmosphere

I love that the vocals are considered just another instrument and thus not produced to stand out. I don't know if Emperor intended that back when they recorded In the Nightside Eclipse or wether it was just due to poor production equipment. Anyway, it sounds awesome. As do the wolves, of course. Sometimes even more so...

For In the Nightside Eclipse the vocals actually are to the front more so. For Anthems, on the other hand, there's a ton of variance, sometimes they're submerged in the mix as another instrument, sometimes they're to the front/in your face (e.g. the ending of Ye Entrencemperium, the beginning of The Loss and Curse of Reverence... absolute masters of their craft

I met a guy at a Target checkout line a year or two ago, and he had a metal jacket on, and he had this band as his back patch. I asked him what band this was in which he replied Wolves In The Throne Room, and he told me to look them up. I forgot about this band, but after searching up different bands, and different black metal bands I came across Wolves In The Throne Room, which I am happy for. This is perfection. Hipster Black Metal' s channel is cool and funny, and all, but he should really check out this band, and Coldworld.

I just checked out this Wolves In The Throne Room CD/ALBUM. The first track/song 'Born From The Serpent's Eye' is Awesome!! It is actually a lot longer, and cooler on CD/Album than it is on this abbreviated KZbin video version. 'THRICE WOVEN' the complete 'Wolves In The Throne Room' CD/ALBUM is one of the most(IMHO) Highly Recommended/Coolest, Progressive/Black Metal Bands today. Very cool!
