Great finish to not so great a game. Both sides looked nervous but Wolves deserved it, not just on the night, but after a much better season than us. 23-22 was a fitting result - memories of Sean Long doing this to Warrington deserve to be finally redressed! Congrats Wire - good luck in the next round. I still think it'll be a HKR-Wigan final, but if not, how great would it be to see Slammin' Sam take the GF as coach, at the first time of asking. Good to see the players back for Saints, but too little too late. Let's see next season - I think Briers being on board will make a big and much needed difference to our attack.

I've said elsewhere that those days of Cunningham scoring at the hooter after us being 16-4 up with 6 minutes left, to Long with that 31-30 drop goal, we have many years of PTSD as fans watching this match up haha. It felt incredible to do it to you guys for once. Great game, be proud of your team.

That high tackle penalty in golden point is so so poor from the ref. How on earth can you give that...its actually a knock on and the game swings in saints favour.

Feel like it was a bit of a poisoned chalice. They were so dominant, but the squad was aging and he took over at the end of an era just as others started to strengthen.
